Hey Temari! I've been lookin' for ya! Where are you, I'm hotwirin' one of the jeeps to get us to the docks!

[He tilted his head a bit noticing she didn't look too well]

Hey, you okay? I can come get you if you want.

In my room. [Technically her closet, but he didn't need to know that.

She's never been happier to see that familiar face though, even if he was a bit dirty.

Giving him a tight smile, she shakes her head. It was a nice offer, but she wasn't a friggin damsel, she'd get there somehow.]

You don't need to...Where are these 'jeeps', I'll make my way there. [She didn't know what the hell a jeep was, but she'd look for Gokudera.]

[He chuckled a bit, catching on that she didn't know what a car was. He turned the camera onto the one he had been working on, to give her a look]

Those are out front, by the main gates. Look for one that's got the lights on... or has me under it.

...Okay. Right. Out front. ...I'll be there as soon as I can.

[Turning off the feed, she leaned her head back against the wall. She could do this, they were just big lizards.

Peeking out, she saw that nothing was outside of her window for the time being. Moving slowly across her floor, she grabbed her fan, sliding it into the camouflaged harness on her back. It may slow her down, but she wasn't going to leave her only weapon behind.

Due to being overly cautious, it probably took her longer than anticipated to find her way to the jeeps. Not that she knew what they did, she just knew 'Dera was by one.]

Gokudera?

[Please...Let him be there.]

[There's the sound of clinking metal, a bang, and a little Italian cuss, as Gokudera peeks out from around one of the jeeps, his hands, shirt, and face covered in black smudges from working on the car... and his hair too, as he was currently rubbing the bump he just got on his head.]

Hey! I'm over here! Sorry it's takin', these things are programmed to go on autopilot, and it's been more work than I though it would."

[Oh, thank the heavens. Moving a little quicker, she stopped by the car, curious about what in the hell these things are exactly.]

...And we'll use them to distract the lizards? [It sounded plausible in her head.]

[The teen chuckled]

Not exactly. We'll be riding in it to get outta here. I'll show you.

[He gets in the jeep he had been working on and starts it up by reaching under the dashboard as opposed to using a key. He doesn't even bother closing the door as he lets the machine move forward a few feet, before putting it back into park and turning it off. Unfortunately he couldn't back it up until he figured out how to take out that stupid computer, and get the jeep unhooked from the track that guided it.]

See? It'll go faster than that, but until I get this thing all unhooked from the crap keeping it on a set track, I don't want to move it too much.

[Tilting her head, she watched with confusion as Gokudera did something to the 'jeep'...and as soon as it started and moved, she took a half a step back. That was just...weird. And really, she didn't care much for it.

They didn't have any other choice though unless they wanted to walk.]

I see... They have these in your world?

[Inching closer, she looked over the machine, clearly interested with the vehicle.]

[He sits sideways in the driver's seat so that his feet are out the car]

Yeah, everywhere. Main mode of transportation. I used to steal them back on the streets for some extra cash.

[He stood up out of the vehicle, and looked at it huffing a bit.]

It's kind of older car though. They're usually real easy to get goin'.

[He let out a sigh, and got on his stomach to crawl under the car again... once he's under he remembers that tools are a handy thing... and he left his out of reach.]

Hey, Tema, mind handin' me the red metal box I had right next to the car before I moved it?

[and he sticks his hand out out for it, waiting.]

[His world was strange. If she did go home with him, she doubted that she'd become used to it easily.

She wasn't sure exactly what he meant about how old the car was, to her, it was new and would be hard to get going if she were to try.]

And you're trying to remove it from a...a track? What does that do?

[She was honestly curious. This was something completely new and rather intriguing to her...and it took her mind off the fact there were huge lizards everywhere.

Picking up the box he'd requested, she moved forward and knelt by the jeep.]

Here~.

[Sliding it to him, she tilted her head to see what he was doing.</i

[Hayato reached down and opened the box, feeling around before pulling out the tool he needed.]

Well, the bottom of this thing is hooked onto a set track, that leads the car on the road, and through all the exhibits. So it'll basically move on it's own. If I take it off the track then I can tell it where it goes... uh... well, once I get the computer thing out too.

[There's some grunting and huffing as he works to unscrew the hook under the car]

It'll probably be easier to show you, if you don't mind gettin' dirty. Between the mud and the oil I dunno what's going to suck getting outta my clothes more.

[he chuckles]

[That was all the prompting that she needed.

Setting her fan beside the car, she joined him under the vehicle, her eyes taking in all the details that she could.

This was all so new to her and it completely fascinated her.

Looking between the track and the jeep, she could see the bar holding it to the track.]

And once we get it off, you'll go to the boat?

[Note how she didn't mention that she was getting on it...but she would make sure Gokudera made it alright.]

Well, I gotta mess with the computer too... uh... it's that little T.V-lookin' thing in the dashboard. It's... well I guess you could say it's acting as the brain of this thing.

[He reaches forward and starts unscrewing things here there, occasionally switching tools to get a different screw, or bolt, needed removing.]

That'll be easy though... I think.

...Can't we just break it?

If it's broken, I don't think it could tell it where to go.

[It seemed to make perfect sense to her. Break the computer, break the control it had over the transport device.]

[Gokudera just paused and blinked a few times... He was just so used to putting in 210% into everything that he completely overlooked the most simple solution to the problem.]

I hadn't thought about that. Should work though!

[And with a few more twists and tugs, the metal bit locking the jeep onto the track fell with a clang. Gokudera looked over at Temari with a big grin on his face.]

Let's go break it!

[She was positively beaming. She knew jack about these vehicles, but she'd had a good idea on how to get them moving sooner.]

You see~. Sometimes the best solutions are the simplest.

[Particularly when you have giant lizards waiting to EAT you.

Backing out, she wiped the gunk her hands before picking up her fan. God know, Gokudera's first response will be explosions.]

I can take care of the computer.

[Gokudera backed out himself, trying to wipe the grime on his hands onto... whatever piece of fabric he had on him that wasn't already saturated in grime.

...And he was quite amused to see her pick up the fan.]

You can take care of the whole car too with that. The computer ain't that big.

[The teen hopped back into the car, sliding over into the passenger seat so she could scoot in too, and pointed to the computer monitor on the dashboard]

That's the computer we need to break.

I won't~.

[Or rather, she can't. Not right now. The worst she could do would be to dent it.

Following him into the car, she nodded as he pointed out the monitor on the dash.]

That's it?

[Without waiting for him to confirm or deny, she slammed the end of her fan into the screen, jumping slightly at the sound of electricity popping from the destruction.]

[The moment the computer was broken, Hayato took the a screwdriver out of his pocket and pryed the device out of the dashboard, then opened his door and threw it onto the ground with a smirk.]

Alright, now let's see if this is goin' to work.

[He gestered Temari to get out of the driver's seat.]

Here, switch seats with me.

Of course it will~.

[She broke it and he removed it, so of course it should work.

Getting out of the jeep, she ran to the other side, moving in as soon as he was settled in the other seat.]

Do you have everything you need?

[Hayato reached under the dashboard to get the jeep started, and after a brief revving of the engine, he shifted gears in reversed it. It bounced a bit as it went over the track and he stopped to shift gears again. Turning out from the parking area to head to the hotel...

...probably going a bit too fast, and cutting corners a bit too rapidly, but hey, he seems to be having fun!]

Ha ha! This is friggin' awesome! I just gotta get Ryuutaro and my boss! Then we can get to the docks! Anything you wanna bring along?

[She'd been fine and happy...until he mentioned that name. Where the hell was he? Waiting for his SERVANT to fix the car and not even put in the effort to help?! Scowling slightly, she shook her head.]

I have everything I need right here.

[Besides, unless the building was destroyed, she doubted that any of her belongings would suffer.]

[Gokudera glanced over and noticed the scowl. His cheeks reddened in embarrassment and his stomach lurched. He wanted to keep them both safe... but... having them together in car would probably be horrible.

M-maybe having his boss in the car would lessen it some? He could only hope but he didn't want to make his boss have to sort out his life problems.

He bit his lip and looked down for a moment feeling bad for making Temari uncomfortable, when he looked back up he slammed on his breaks as a rather large raptor stood right in the middle of the road.]

SHIT!

[Horrible wasn't even the worse for it. They'd be lucky if they all made it to the docks in one piece. Sitting back in her seat, she hugged her fan close, not wanting to say something to offend Gokudera. She really tried to suffer his boyfriend, she really did.

Grabbing the dash as he slammed onto his brakes, she was about to snap at him for stopping so suddenly...and then she saw why.

Freezing as she saw it and heard it's soft trilling as it breathed, she glanced to the side at Gokudera. She couldn't do anything but hit it...and that was bigger than she'd anticipated.]

...Dera...Gokudera...

[She only hoped this thing could move fast enough to lose it.]

I know. Put your seat-belt on.

[And without taking his eyes off the giant reptile he slowly reached for his seatbelt and clicked it into place. Then he moved his hand to the shift.]

You ready?

[About to ask what the hell a seat belt was, she glanced over and saw him clicking a strap across his chest.

Slowly easing her own strap over her chest, she actually felt true fear for the first time in months. If that thing attacked, she was stuck...]

...Ready.

[In a blink Hayato shifted the jeep into reverse and slammed on the gas. The wheels skidded on the wet mud for a moment before shooting backwards. Un fortunately that moment was all the raptor need to hop on the hood of the car.]

SHITSHITSHITSHITSHITSHIT!

[Hayato struggled to look over his shoulder to see where he was going as well as trying to keep an eye on the raptor on the front of the car. Though luckily, the raptor was struggling to keep it’s grip on the vehicle through Gokudera’s erratic driving.]

[Plastering herself to the seat, her eyes were locked on the snarling lizard on the hood of the jeep. Gripping the fan tightly, she never wished for control of her chakra more than right now. On a normal day, this would be over already...]

I hope you have a plan!

[Cause for once? She sure as hell didn't.]

Of course I do!

[he smirked as they got back to the parking lot, where Hayato slammed on the breaks and turned the car around, causing the raptor's face to smack into the windshield.]

That's why I told you to put on your seatbelt.

[And just as the raptor pried it's face from the windshield, Gokudera slams his foot down on the gas, sending the car speeding forward... and the raptor's face right back against the glass. He picks up speed...]

[Gasping softly as the discomfort of the seat belt biting into her waist and chest, she was seriously starting to doubt this so called plan of Gokudera's.]

If I die from this, I'll find some way to beat your ass, just so you know!

[Particularly with that lizard getting closer to the window. Call her crazy, but she didn't feel safe with just a window between her and teeth that size. ...But the fact he was building speed just caused her worry to spike.]

[Once the car gets to about sixty, Gokudera takes a deep breath, shuts his eyes, and slams on the brakes, making the jeep stop very abruptly. Lucky for them, the dinosaur wasn't wearing his seat-belt and was flung from the hood of the car. Unluckily for them...

Ow. Whiplash from hell.

Gokudera grunted and quickly tried to gather himself before the raptor did, and started to drive off back towards the hotel, running off of pure adrenalin.]
