[Open/In Person]

[This is not Thairos. For one thing, it's raining. She practically had to fight to get the normal storms to come to Thairos. For another, she woke up in what seems to be an inn that is far more opulent than even her famous teacher would stay at. Also, the lighting here is exceedingly odd.]

[There's very little chance she could have gotten kidnapped (and to what end, especially if she's unbound and has nobody watching her. So Tris is going to go out and see if she can't find the lay of this strange city. This starts with her keeping the rain off of her and walking out of the hotel. She is On A Mission To Explore This Place, and she is Not Happy about it.]

[Congrats, Paris, you now have one grumpy, confused, red-headed weather witch standing under what appears to be an invisible glass dome that sheds the rain, and she's stalking your streets like she's mad at you! Which she kind of is.]

[Stopping her trot in midstep, her happy disposition isn't dampened in the least. Oh well, dinner will have to wait. Her dragon mind knew she was right and she turned around to move toward Tris.]

[There was no need to protest now. The wound needed to be looked at cared for and it was the first time she thought about it since she arrived three days ago. She followed Tris with a purring trill looking this way and that at the people in the dining room that really didn't seem to mind her presence.

Hey, this place isn't so bad after all.]

Uh- right. [He's going to try to keep to that, although it'll be a little awkward - trying to stay mostly in front of her and predict which way she's going.] Thanks for the rain-thing. [He's cautiously shaking out the umbrella and closing it for now.]

[She lays flat on the floor, wings wrapped tight around her body and her front legs cover her face. She didn't like the sound of it but it has to be done.]

Brrraawwwmmmff.

I guess not. [He was looking up at the shield, and watching the rain slide off it.] Magic really isn't very common where I'm from; it's rare enough that a lot of people who aren't directly involved in something dealing with it, don't believe it exists.

[Bandages? She lifts her head and looks around. She's seen humans use them when she used to sneak into the villages as a hatchling but got into a lot of trouble doing it from her parents which eventually led to their deaths.

She lifts up from the floor slowly and the stinging was only temporary and soon forgotten as she was being consoled. The pettings were always nice. Warm hands felt good.]

[He's nodding thoughtfully at that.] I'm not sure how it went for Yoko and Mina - but they're both from families where it runs in the family, so as far as I know they were raised with it. I don't really know how it works for mages that aren't in families like that; I've had my plate a bit full just trying to keep track of the vampires and demons and all the rest of the crazy.

[She couldn't argue the point even if she tried. Protesting with a quick movement would only aggravate her injury. There was no need for that either. She flopped onto her belly again and used a claw to trace the pattern in the rug only to accidentally rip it and a quick look around to see if anyone saw that.]

[There is a very confused blink as this processes, and he's trying very hard not to cracked-nervous laugh at the "demons are real" comment.] Very, very real. A cult that summons them is what triggered my powers spiking back up again, and they've wiped out a small town.

And uh. Vampires are - basically undead? They used to be human, but were brought back by another vampire. They feed on blood, and can get pretty powerful and very dangerous; there's only a few things that can hurt them - sunlight weakens them, holy water and blessed relics can ward them off or hurt them if the person using it's powerful enough, and some blessed weapons can do it.

[She looks at her tail and nods, folding down the other fin down as if it were a sail. It was easy for her to do but not so easy for someone to do it for her. Tough muscle controlled that fin and that can be seen from the wound.]

[She looked at the wrapping job and gave a rumbling purr. She completely forgot about her little mishap with the rug and turned her body around to nuzzle Tris. The white was a defining contrast to her black scales but it was the purpose intended and not the fashion that was in question.]

[you are going to have such a special time with Sebastian.] It's kind-of funny, with what I've dealt with, to think of a world where magic's known and more common but demons AREN'T real. [His voice drops to a grumble]

[Purrs and nuzzles and now the smell of food got her back on why she was here in the first place in this part of the hotel. She motioned with her eyes that she was going there and gives a nudge.]
