[Zarbon, as Elphaba's poor misfortune would have it, is not far. As far as he is concerned, he's given Dende time enough to respond and so far, all he's gotten is stone walling. Of course, it doesn't help that the Author is forcing his hand and making him shop for a "present" on top of all this. He still isn't entirely certain that he wants to give into such demands from his captor. However, he finds himself idly glancing in store windows as he passes them and debating what to get should he decide to give in.
