Kudo Shinichi - Case 036 - [In Person with the Great Detective of the East]

[Shinichi shuts a door behind him and adjusts his shirt some- a tiny bit of steam can be seen coming off him but it quickly dissipates. The great detective is feeling pretty happy right now-after all he's not stuck in the usual punt-sized body.

He takes a few breaths and stuffs his hands in his pockets before starting off - now to find Ran]

Hm? I don't really know-but I think it just means the Author gets bored of the person and sends them back home.

They don't die-the laws of death aren't the same here-it's not permanent and most people come back within a few days. Still though, taking a life is an unforgivable thing which is why me and some other people are trying to instate some kind of law and order.

[All she'd wanted to do was ask about getting home. This ... Well, that was one thing that hadn't changed at least. Shinichi could still kill the mood of any conversation quite effectively. Ran walked beside him, expression downcast. She didn't want to ask how they knew that death was temporary ... ]

[He looks up to see the beginning of the hedge maze and then nods.]

Yeah, There's probably Christmas decorations lining the way.

[Ran tried to shake her depression and think. She didn't have that much time with Shinichi, she should make sure she used it well.]

I don't think time here passes the same as it does back home-or even that time matters with the author-it seems to be she can freely manipulate the time she takes us from.

No, I know about London. Recently she sent me back home for a few days-or it was a few days here. There it was a few weeks.
