[It's getting to be a familiar sight, the blackberries activating on their own followed by that cloister black L and that mechanical synthesized voice.]
Greetings, this is L. A few minutes ago you received a message from one claiming to be me. This is a lie. That message was in fact from the murderer. This was not the first time a criminal has hidden behind my symbol, but it will be the last. Believe who you will, I have no way to prove my identity, neither does he. But I assure you that the supposed "other L" is, in fact, the killer we are looking for.
To all residents of the Manor I offer this advice. The killer will only attack those on their own. If you remain in groups, you will be safe. Do not eat or drink anything you have no prepared yourself. I would also advise staying away from jam. Do not talk to or communicate with any individual you do not already know. This killer is cunning and will use your own knowledge against you so remain on guard.
To the killer, I know who you are and I know what you are doing. I know exactly what your plan is and I know you will fail. I know you will not stop this masquerade but remember this, only one of us is truly L and only one of us is his shadow, the killer.
