It's a trident, fairly well known where I'm from, though moreso as a piece of symbolism from legends rather then a weapon. It was never known to be the most popular of weapons but I seem to fair just fine with it.
[Though in his case it was bound closely to his illusions. Not to mention the top could be separated from the staff for different types of combat. All very useful when coming up with his plans and schemes during a fight.]
Now, I don't suppose you could tell me more about this wall you were talking about?
