[Hayato jumps when all of a sudden, out of nowhere- THE OLD MAN IS ON FIRE. The cigarette falls clear out of the boy's mouth from the shock]

H-HOLY COCK!

[The teen scrambles for his cigarette... and his composure... and tentatively holds the cigarette to the flame, lighting it. Before he puts it back in his mouth, he examines it... it was... really on fire.]
