[After a REALLY shitty past couple of weeks, and his usual method of venting (beating people up) didn't really fly well during prison week, Hayato had taken a surrogate: his bedroom.]

[The feed came on with a crash as the blackberry is dropped to the floor. There's the sound of something crashing against the walls. For a brief moment Hayato ckmes on screen, bedside table in his hands mid-throw, and not even a moment after he disappears from off screen there's the sound of breaking wood as he throws it at the wall.

After a few more minutes of pounding and crashing noises, part of the teen can be seen again, only this time he is holding his work table, and with surprisingly good form he pegs that sucker right out his window. Unfortunately for him, it sets off that wonderful little bomb trap he had set on his window. Both Hayato and the blackberry are blown back against the wall, but the damage is minimal. He has replaced the charge to something weaker to prevent his room from getting blown into oblivion AGAIN.

Hayato simply sits there for a moment, breathing heavily and just looking at the damage. Oddly enough it felt good... and nothing was on fire. Window looked to have seen better days though. The teen lets out a content sigh and just flops onto his side, all is well and good until he spots the blackberry... and that it's on. He pushes himself up again and growls, grabbing the device and giving it a half-assed throw across the room.

NOW all was well and good....

other than... you know... his room being a wreck.]

[His usual default answer would be "of course!" despite the VERY CLEAR EVIDENCE to the contrary... but not today!]

Sorta... maybe... I don't know...

[His answer surprises him a little, but for now he's just going brush it off as him not being on top of his game]

[He about to say "go fuck yourself" but instead you get a]

Yeah...

[Ryuutaro's outside, leaning against a tree and pretty clearly just woke up again. But this video was kinda noisy and hard to ignore]

... Hayato?

[Hayato picks up his blackberry again, bringing it to his face. He's all kinds of banged up from the beating the guards gave him for pulling his little stunt blowing up the doors to the exercise area. But he's healing, and it was worth giving Ryuutaro the extra time outside.

He smiles a bit awkwardly, since this would be the first time they had spoken since... because... well... he spent the rest of that week in solitary. He didn't know exactly how Ryuutaro would handle this... whether he was still mad... or...]

Hey.

[Ryuutaro himself didn't exactly know how he felt. He wasn't exactly angry anymore, but not completely fine with everything either. It was difficult.]

... are you alright?

[Probably a legit question after the whole thing with the guards and all]

[He closes his eyes and waves his hand to try and dismiss the question]

I don't know.

[And his eyes snap open again in surprise, and he slaps a hand over his mouth. What the hell- that is not the answer he intended to give!]

[Ryuutaro blinks]

That was an unexpected break of pattern.

[After all they were throwing 'I'm fine's at each other all the time]

[The frankness and uncertainty of the answer stuns Iroh for just a moment.]

Do you need any help? I was worried about you. I don't want anything bad to happen to you, you know.

[Such a thing may be easy to discern from his actions, but it's not something Iroh would put in so many words, per se.]

[Hayato waits a moment before taking his hand off his mouth]

It's not what I meant to say...

[He sighs and just shakes his head, dismissing the slip up for now]

How about you? You looked pretty bad last time I saw you...

I'm horribly tired among other things, but I can be outside, so it's better...

[....]

[What. That was supposed to have been another 'I'm fine'. Just why wasn't it? Ryuutaros eyes widened.]

... this is strange.

[Hayato looks away and starts fidgeting awkwardly. This is why he didn't tell people things... because they started worrying about him and trying to do things for him he could do himself!]

I don't need anyone to worry about me. I'm fine on my own...

[But oh this plot isn't going to let him get away with ending it there...]

...mostly.

Goin' outside sounds nice, mind if I join you? I...I really need to get out of here...

[If that wasn't already PAINFULLY obvious by the way his room looks like a tornado hit it...]

So it's happening to you too?

Apparently it is.... a bit discomforting.

And of course, your company would be pleasant [Look, look, it ain't a lie!] I'm at the beginning of the forest, close to the lake.
[Yup, about where they'd been as the Manor vanished. Ryuutaro hadn't made his camp there for nothing, it was about his favourite place]

I'll be there in a minute.

[He pushes himself up off the ground and grabs his notebook and a pen. If Ryuutaro did nod off, he would at least have something to do. And working on his formulas relaxed him. It was something solid, they always made sense. There was no grey area with them, either they were right or they were wrong. He starts walking out of the manor... and he passes his worktable once he gets outside. He looked from the table to the charred remains of his window... then he light a cigarette and continues walking. Table was broken. So their probably wasn't much point in lugging the thing back to his room.

He continues on to their little camp, waving casually as Ryuutaro comes into sight.]

Hey.

[Ryuutaro had been waiting with his eyes closed and just looks up at the sound of Hayato's voice. The boy brings a smile to his lips - arguments from last week mostly (but certainly not completely) forgotten.]

Good morning.

Mornin'.

[Hayato walks over, still has a bit of a limp, and his ass-beating probably did nothing to help that, and takes a seat next to Ryuutaro. To make up for not being able to physically be there for his friend in the cell, Hayato puts his arm around the younger boy's shoulders, and gives on a squeeze with his hand]

Glad you're doin' better.

[Ryuutaro is momentarily bewildered at the touch -still is, even though it's become usual by now - but the feeling vanishes a moment after.]

Thank you for getting me out a bit longer. Even though I do still think it was completely reckless.

[Hayato laughs a little. Reckless was kind of his middle name.]

It was worth it.

[And he takes his arm off of Ryuutaro]

I've pulled worse stunts anyway.

[And he leans back and sighs, after his tantrum with his room he couldn't help but feel tired and lethargic. Lack of food probably didn't help either. Hopefully he would be able to get something down now though. He was feeling a bit better after playing demolition man.]

I know, I've seen it happen.

[The thing with the zombie for example...]

And I don't think I will ever really get used to it.

[Hey that thing with the zombie was badass. He now has so many bragging rights for pulling that shit.

He shrugs a bit.]

Don't worry about it, I'm not allowed to die. Tenth said so.

[Because believe it or not Ryuutaro, he used to be worse... so much worse...]
