✪ petal two [in person]
[Lily has been wandering the city all day, not looking for anything in particular but just attempting to explore. Being cooped up in the safe house had been fine at first, taking care of anyone who was even remotely sick or injured and making sure everyone who came in got something to eat and a chance to rest. She had even enjoyed the opportunity to test out what being a Healer might actually be like. But now, on the sixth day of being in the middle of nowhere, she's about ready to jump out of her shell. Hence the exploring the city.
Currently, she's perched on the side of the bridge, a handful of pebbles in hand that she's attempting to skip along the water below. Come keep her company?]
One... two... three. Hmph.

Do you MIND human?

[She turns her head, gripping the ledge of the bridge with both hands, the rest of her pebbles tossed idly aside. The voice doesn't come as a pleasant surprise, and the narrowing of her eyes and set of her jaw is the only indication that Lily Evans is any less than pleased with the intrusion.]
Can I help you?

[
not to mention I was TOTALLY here first]no subject
[Normally she'd offer to leave, and be the bigger person, but she's not particularly feeling generous after his abrupt interruption.]

Now you listen here human! I have been wandering around this hell hole for DAYS now trying to find a nice spot where I could FINALLY get AWAY from you and the rest of your BREED. And I finally came here, and all was well UNTIL YOU DECIDED IT WAS NECESSARY TO THROW SOME GODDAMN ROCKS INTO THE GODDAMN RIVER!!!

Number one, do not refer to me as human. If you need to refer to me, my name is Lily, or at the very least, Evans. Two, watch your tone. Three, I do not. Appreciate. Your. Tone.

I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU'RE NAME IS! I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU ARE! AND IF YOU REALLY THINK THAT LITTLE STICK IS GOING TO DO ANYTHING TO HELP YOU THEN YOU ARE TERRIBLY MISTAKEN!

[She grits her teeth, flicks her wand, and lets out a very loud....] Silencio!

Would you cut that out! Merlin!

You poor thing.

[She is concerned, and blatantly looks (and sounds) it, and she reached out a hand to brush gently along the deer's side.]
That's a good boy. Calm down and let me take a look at you.

[Lily doesn't know a ton of healing charms, but she's proficient enough that the skin over-top begins to pull back together, covering the gash and hopefully alleviating some of the pain.]
Is that any better, hm?
no subject
Thanks.

So the only thing to do, obviously, is to open her mouth and screech in confusion.]
--what are you doing and how did you.. deer... Animagus?
no subject
Too loud! Don't do that, my head's killing me. I've been using it to fight bloody maniac deer for the past Merlin knows how long.
[He rubs his eye with a dirty hand.]

[She's trying to whisper but she's really quite bad at it. Ignore the fact that she's reaching out to touch him, just to make sure he really is James Potter: side first, then forearm, until her fingers brush against his forehead.]
Are you alright other than your head? Is anything broken?
no subject
[He tries to ease himself up and winces.]
Deer can be bloody brutal. I didn't realize that before tonight.
[Stop talking about it now, Potter. She KNOWS now, don't make it worse]
I just need a hand up.
no subject
[She sighs, giving him a look that makes it very clear how much she disapproves of this. But she still helps him up, one hand resting on his forearm as he stands and the other on his lower back for balance.
Lily realizes pretty quickly that this is the closest she's ever been to him. The Russian wilderness is clearly making crazy.]
no subject
[But he has to answer her, doesn't he? He winces thinking over what to say, but there's nothing else he can say]
Well, a while and no. The Ministry doesn't know. Don't tell them, please?
no subject
I'm not exactly in a position to owl the Ministry with my concerns, James. For now. When we get home, you'll tell them yourself. [It's not a question.]
no subject
[It's hard to tell whether James is being serious or not, his face is serious but his eyes are glittering and his tone has inflections of parody to it.]
no subject
Let's just get you back to the safe house, alright? I want to get a better look at some of those wounds and make sure they're healing properly.
no subject
Probably a good idea.
