Pripyat, Day 8: Elphaba - Snow fall
[When Elphaba woke up suddenly, it was still very early morning, the sky still dark. However, she hadn't stirred from her sleep due to a bad dream or discomfort, but rather, a penetrating cold. Her limbs and joints felt stiff and painful, and as she sat up, she found herself on the floor, rather than in one of the beds of the safehouse. Looking around the darkened room, she found she didn't recognise where she was at all. The only thing she did recognise was the cold. The bitter, aching cold, which she soon discovered the source of. Clumsily getting to her feet, she followed the draft of freezing air. She discovered that she had been sleeping on the floor of the foyer in one of the apartment blocks, the front doors wide open, allowing the new sheets of snow slow entry over the threshold.
Taking a few steps towards the door, she looked out over the white street, her heart sinking. Snow was frozen water, which she was deathly allergic to.]
I guess I'm stuck here..

Bloody snow. Bloody town. Bloody Author. And why did he wake up on the floor of some abandoned building?
He's walking by an apartment complex when something catches his eye; green amidst the white and grey.
He looks up at Elphaba.]
You look cold.

How observant..I don't suppose you woke up in a different place to where you fell asleep..?

Well hopefully no ones stuck out in it.
[She flicks her eyes over from the window to the greay walls around them]
I'm stuck in here until it melts.

Her second comment catches his attention.]
Why? The door's open.
no subject
I'm allergic to water, I wouldn't last too long in that
[She gestures outside the open door. She's aware of how strange what she just said might sound, but it's the truth.]

You've got a hat. You can protect yourself.
no subject
If my hat could withstand that I'd be impressed. And besides, my hands and face are still exposed - and looking at what water does to me, I'd rather wait it out in here.
[Regardless of whether or not this building was a housing complex or not]

Then I guess you'll be happy staying there.

[If she hadn't known magic, she probably would have reconsidered]
What about you..? Where're you going..?
no subject
[Even if Potter will be there.
But Lily should be there too.]

Fair enough
no subject
Well, I'm sure you'll be fine. I'm going. [And he turns to walk down the street again.]

Alright.
