Twenty Fourth entry ☼ Elizabeth ☼ So far so good..[In person]

[For anyone wandering about, they might bump into Elizabeth as she's descending the staircase. She was busy thinking about her Mother, or rather, the ghost that she'd been putting up with all of last week. As spiteful as she had been, it had also been a great pleasure and privelege for Elizabeth for her to finally meet the woman she'd only heard cruel stories about. Either way, the secret Anne had told her late last night also had her mind distracted.

But, she was pleased that, so far, nothing seemed out of the ordinary

[His eyes snapped open, his expression was of a horrified shock that the one he loved most offered herself as means to ease his suffering. Still, his rational mind knew if he didn't, the Beast would take over and anyone that would come in contact with him, he would most likely kill.

He saw her arm shake. He took her hand in his. His cold fingers pressed against her warm flesh, he leaned his head toward her wrist. As much as he hated the idea of doing this, he took only enough to calm his thirst.

His color started to return yet he was still very pale. Now instead of desperation holding him in place, his mobility became much more fluid as he reached up to touch her cheek.]

I'm sorry, my love.

[His expression turned from pained to concerned and embarrassed. His voice wasn't as hoarse just moments ago.]

[He turned his eyes away, feeling ashamed and disgusted with himself that the Beast within needed to take from another living being in order to survive. He was unable to shed tears for his trespass even if it was a voluntary one. His hand subconsciously reached for pained wrist where he had bitten her.

As if in a move to comfort, he kissed the wounds and hoped that she wouldn't have to suffer his fate. His rational mind has returned, the wheezing has stopped. He didn't know the extent of what has been happening to him other than what the Beast instinctively tells him.]

The body requires iron to produce blood. Since I have taken from you, the best course is to replenish yourself. The Author....has made me into a vile creature....a parasite. Spare me no mercy should I lose my rational mind and become a beast.

[Ichabod moves to steady her, keeping his own balance in check as he moves to stand. He only took enough to stave the thirst which would only keep the Beast satisfied for a short period of time.]

I have read once, since the same creatures that I have become began to enter the Manor as residents, that a mineral such as iron can be supplemented as pills to sustain the body. This same mineral is also found in broccoli and spinach.

[He held out his hand for her to take just in case she needed it.]

Nor have I until I have done the research once we returned from the town. I seemed to have picked up on the Cyrillic language among other subjects of study.

[He seems to be back to normal now personality wise though still very much vampiric by physiology. The bright light seems to bother him and with the lack of need to sleep, he'll have to find another method to rest.]

Ah, another note of interest that I have come to realize that I am no longer human is the coffin in my room replacing the bed. A rather disturbing thought by the very nature of the chapters the Author intends to write.

[He looks over his shoulder slightly and tries to manage a smile without showing his elongated canines.]

Ah yes. At the time, I was uncertain why such a piece was ever thought of being considered as.....furniture. Despite the grim applications for whence they were created for and for the purposes intended, I must admit that mine is a rather handsome one.

I must have been relatively wealthy when I transversed from one to the other.

[He slowly walked with her to the kitchen and has remained relatively objective and slightly now fascinated with his current physical state. He let out a yelp when his foot lightly passed through the sun's rays that spilled through the main hall.]

Ow!

[He looked down to see his ankle was smoldering and his eyes widened.]

And a damned creature I have become to be so undeserving of the life-giving sun.
