[Early morning dawns on your new home. It is a good thing the manor comes fully equipped with a handsome 19th century butler! Come near the kitchen and you'll smell something heavenly being cooked.

He's found the various prepackaged foodstuffs lacking for a proper breakfast, so he's improvising. Eggs have been cracked into a large bowl and beaten. He's figured out the modern stove, although there are other appliances he hasn't even touched, including the Blackberry that he still has in a breast pocket, near to his pocket watch. It's quite a mystery, his being here, and so far from his master that he can't even sense the boy's presence. But that's no matter. There's a schedule to keep and, he can tell, guests to be served.

He's producing omelets, using the various ingredients available to him. He moves with grace and poise, dressed in an impeccable black uniform; long coattails, white gloves, high collar with tie, and head butler's pin on his lapel. The only things that might strike one as out of place are his carelessly mussed hair and unnaturally red eyes.

[Herbal. Chamomile, in fact, known for soothing nervous disorders. Sebastian knows his tea. He sets the water to boil and looks back at Mello.]

[Joke's on you, he's not a shinigami. In his human form, he can't even walk through walls. Although he sure can go around them quickly, if he chooses to.]

[He has half a mind to use the "I'm only a servant, so my opinion doesn't matter" line, but he has a feeling Mello would call him out on that bullshit pretty fast.]

[True, but he IS only the butler. There's no immediate answer, even one he could discern with his heightened demon senses. And his place isn't to play detective without his master, it's to serve the guests. Someone else would figure it out, or Ciel would call for him and they'd figure it out together.]

[Mello IS a detective, one of two ~~or 2.5 as of that eventing~~]

And everything you've been cooking you found here? Just laid out like this?

Yes, it was here when I arrived. I made sure to sample it to make sure it was safe for mass consumption.

[It may sound like he was taking one for the team there, but poison has no effect on him.]

[Yeah, he assumes you're supernatural so he's not convinced of your benevolence]

I'm sure. I don't think whoever brought us here is going to poison us. They wouldn't have set up bedrooms or stocked the place if we were just going to die.

[Sigh. They see him rollin'. They hatin'. The tea finishes brewing and he pours the cup of chamomile for Mello.]

No, likely not. The accommodations are rather plush, all things considered. Milk or sugar?

[He realizes the tea is being held out for him]

No. I'm fine.

[He does take it, however, holstering his gun to do so. Mello puts the tea on the counter, but doesn't pull his gun out again, not just yet.]

[Good, good, the gun is away. That's a step in the right direction.]

I don't believe we've exchanged names yet. You may call me Sebastian. And by what may I address you, sir?

[He doesn't like you so all you get is a letter]

[He bows slightly to Mello. The less you like him, the more courteous he'll be.]
