003 - Kitty Howard - Accidental Video

*Kitty doesn't realize that when she set it down on her bedside table, the blackberry was turned on. She's lying on her bed with Lancelot, wearing a dressing gown, a piece of parchment clutched in her hands. She really looks quite white and very unnerved*

But...I....I don't understand Lancelot! Father's been gone for years and years, how could he have sent me a letter?

I don't know your Majesty, perhaps it's something the Author's done somehow

But father is dead....you don't think the Author can raise people from the DEAD do you *she goes even whiter, letting the letter drop onto the floor*

[Ed looks excited, she's a bit clueless, forgive her. Then she looks worried when she really takes in the scene]

Kitty is sad?

*looks a little startled hearing a voice, but then remembers the blackberry and picks it up off the table*

Goodness you startled me Miss Edward. I didn't realize I'd left this thing on.

*she frowns* I just...I don't know how I could have gotten a letter from my father. He's been dead a long time.

[Having wandered past Kitty's room after being cooped in her room for far too long, Miria noticed that the door was open]

Hello..? May I come in..?

*looks surprised to hear that, and there's some scrambling about heard* One moment please, I'm afraid I'm not appropriate for company at the moment.

*several minutes pass before anything else is heard, Kitty's darted off to put one of her gowns on*

All right, you may enter now.

[Miria steps into the room tantatively, for a moment forgetting her sadness and admiring the beauty of Kitty's room]

I'm sorry; I didn't mean to be a bother..I just..I'd like some company, if that's okay..? I mean, I know we don't really know each other, but..

[She plays with the hem of her dress nervously, somewhat regretting her descision (I think Kitty may have a rather fragile Miria at the moment I'm afraid ^^;; Sorry, your majesty) ]

*she's sitting in one of the chairs at the table, Lancelot in her lap*

I would never turn down company, although we ought to be introduced I suppose *smiles* I'm Kathryn Howard, Queen of England. And this *she points to her lap* is Lancelot, my Daemon.

[A little surprised by the formal introduction, she does an awkward curtsey, a clears some hair out of her face, which has brightened a little]

I'm Miria Harvent, and this is Sweeney [Referring to the Pure white chincilla in her front pcoket. The little creature 'nods' in acknowledgment]

It's lovely to meet you [Directed at both Lancelot and Kathryn]

*she smiles* I'm glad to meet you Miss Miria, and you as well Sweeney

*Lancelot jumps off of her lap, hopping up onto the bed where a large comfy looking cushion is sitting and curls up on it*

*waves her hand distractedly* Oh don't mind him, he's always so dreadfully quiet and sleepy lately. I think they gave me the wrong one, he's not a thing like me really

Oh hush you, I didn't ask you *turns back to Miria* Oh thank you, his majesty is so very generous with me and lets me do whatever pleases me with my rooms. I'm the luckiest woman in all of England!

I think they can be either like you or nothing at all; Sweeney here can be mean sometimes..

Perhaps that's true, I wish someone wasn't so BORING all the time though *she glances over at Lancelot who's ignoring her and has curled up to nap*

Well aside from me, my husband of course! His Majesty King Henry! *smiles* Why don't you sit down? *gestures to other chair*

[Is now back to normal self, happy to have someone other than Sweeney to talk to. Sinking into the chair, Miria continues to admire Kitty's possessions and decor]

How long have you been with Henry? What's he like? He sounds very grand and important!

You're most welcome *she smiles* I wish I had my ladies here, they make the loveliest cakes and I'm sure you'd like them.

We've only been married a few months, and of course he's grand and important! He is the King of England, and head of the Church besides! *smiles again* He's a wonderful husband to me, he pays me so much attention and gives me so many beautiful gifts.

Kitty's dad wrote a letter but Kitty's dad is dead?

[She looks confused and scratches her head with her foot]

History mystery! ghost toast!

[A slow grin crosses her features and she puts on a spooky voice, contorting her face to look scary]

Maybe Kitty's dad's ghooooost wrote it?

Yes, precisely! He died when I was just a little girl!

*her eyes widen and she really looks quite scared* Oh Miss Edward, you don't REALLY think there are ghosts here do you? Oh I want Henry, I don't want to be around a bunch of scary old ghosts!

[Edward giggles a little nervously]

Edward didn't mean to scare Kitty! Edward was just joking!

Oh thank goodness! I thought there were really going to be ghosts around here.

Hee, hee! Well Edward's never seen one! So Kitty shouldn't be scared!

I'm glad, I don't want to see one!

I've heard that there's all kinds of ghosts in the tower though, but people don't like to talk about that *shudders* I don't ever want to go there.

But it could be a fun ghost! What if it's a funny ghost and not a scary ghost?

I don't want to see any ghosts at all thank you!
