((ooc: Keiichi is hanging out in front of his room. Wondering about how to get passed that dinosaur.))

[Kaito nods and it's probably for the best he doesn't know what Keiichi is thinking.]

It'd be tricky, but I think I might be able to get it for you.

[Definitely for the best. Keiichi is aggravatedly scratching at his wrist. Stupid Hinamizawa Syndrome gets in the way of everything and-wait. Did he just say he'd go in get it?]

...You don't have to do that. It'll probably try to eat you and I can wait it out to the end of the week...

[He becomes aware of his scratching and looks down at the now red wrists.]

...I hope. [well... at least it's not his neck.]

[Right. Kaito pretends not to have noticed that for now. He just scoffs.]

It'd have to catch me first. Don't worry, I'll get it.

[And Flash grenade it is then. Kaito lets one slide out of his sleeve into his hand as he starts towards the door to open it. He's going to have to time this right because there's likely not much room for error. Even if it isn't a real dinosaur.]

... [Keiichi is just watching him. What makes him think he's so special that he can outrun a raptor?]

[3...2..1! Kaito opens the door and jumps back just in time to avoid getting bitten before throwing his flash grenade at it. As predicted, the bright light is enough to blind it and causes it to retreat a bit, screeching, and Kaito uses the time while the flash hasn't quite died down yet to grab the box under the bed before back out racing out again.]

[Keiichi stares blank faced a moment, staring at the case before a huge grin comes to his face]

Thanks! I really owe you one! My name's Maebara Keiichi.

[Kaito grins back, handing the case over to him.]

Heh. No problem! Kuroba Kaito. Nice to meet ya.

[Keiichi takes it and immediately sits down to open it up and get the needle in syringe ready. It's been too long since he's given himself the injection, as a result he's eager to get the drug pumping through his system and hold back the syndrome as long as he can manage.

Without any reael warning he quickly stabs it into his arm, possibly a little more rough then strictly necessary-which causes him to wince.]

Ouch.

[... Well, that was a little unexpected. Kaito actually looked openly shocked.]

O-oi! Are you alright?

[He pulls the empty needle out and tosses it back into the bag, letting out a long sigh of relief before addressing Kaito.]

I will be. [he offers a reassuring smile.] Now that I have the immunization in my system.
