Ampoule 06 - [In Person] // Renew your soul, to make you strong
[In Shiki's quest to adapt to his surroundings had been seeking some way to hone his skills without his prized Katana. A present from his commander to prove he was the best. Not that it mattered anyway. If anything the outdoors seemed to be a nice distraction from the ever growing populace of furry pests within the Manor. In some way he enjoyed the change of scenery, even if it was nothing more than an annoyance. Then again - when life gives you lemons you make the best damn lemonade you can with it, which was exactly what he was doing. There must have been some purpose to him being brought here in the grander scheme of things than simply the Author. Teach him to become the best warrior possible with more means than just his katana and wits? He'd see. Until then he took a seat by the lake's shore, giving a confused glance to what looked like a construction site. Little did he know that he was looking right at Jack's attempt to make the Black Pearl.]
The hell..?
The hell..?

Then you'd best prepare yourself to do so hadn't you?

[Jack grinned. He knew that he could lose this match only because of what he's heard about the bout between him and Sherlock. Sherlock's mistake was sparring with a killer to begin with. Jack's is simply not knowing abut the style. He'll learn quick enough but not enough to save him from a bit of servitude.]
Ladies first.

You were saying, pirate?

Good move.
[He pushed off, jumping onto the log behind him and grinning. After a very brief moment of recomposing himself and regrouping a new strategy, he needed to be equally as fast. Without a change in his expression, he lunged forward, what appears to be a high lunge only to switch it low for a tripping move.]

You have a good technique, but still, not the best.

[Jack nimbly turns and to dodge the slash, his grin spread from ear to ear but not without being winged by the broomstick.]
Crossing blades...or sticks as it were, with a pirate is no easy task. Nice footwork.
[He's on the defensive now which is position that Jack was best at.]

Thank you. But I feel it right to warn you - I'm not known as the 'Flawless King' Il-Re for nothing. You can always give up if you wish to avoid the humiliation of losing?
[Though he's totally not going to mention how he got bitch slapped into a wall by Piccolo like he were nothing. 8|a]

[The kick forced him back and falls off the log with a graceless thud. The wind was knocked right out of him and rolls to the side to cough. It was weak at first but he managed to shake it off and slowly rose to his feet. Yep, fighting dirty was on his opponent's plate too which made him grin.]
Very good. Now I know I've got to be sharp around you.
[He's still in the kneeling position, catching his breath and steadying himself from the dizzying attack.]

Do whatever you must to win. Whenever you are ready, Jack.
[He wasn't about to attack him when he was down, in a friendly sparring match.]
no subject
Yep. I'm good.
[There's that grin again and this time, he steps to the side slowly and takes the offensive with a series of thrusts, sweeps and passes from his sword arm.]
no subject
Very well--
[Shiki was interrupted and put his sword up between the two of them, gritting his teeth as he was forced to take the defensive, observing his attacks, looking for an opening or a weak point in his strategy. One handed sword usage, hand free should it be needed, alternatively for balance..]

Last time, you beat me with a thrust to the gut. A good move to be sure. But ol' Jack has a few tricks himself.
[With a quick kick, he tosses up with his foot a distraction which was nothing more than a small sandbag that he used to hold the tarp in place while he was drying and curing the wood for the ship.]
no subject
You--
[Bracing himself for whatever attack might be thrown his way, he tried to take a step back, crossing his arms across his chest, forearms ready to take the blow.]
no subject
Yep, I'm a you as you are a you yourself, mate.
[That smile never left.]
