[Nice had woken up somewhere dark, cold, and noisy; the metro, or rather, the French version of the underground. She was freezing, and she only felt colder when she emerged into the open air, the rain hardly welcome on her exposed arms. Hugging them around herself, she started walking, trying to work out where in the hell she was now. Of course, the French sign posts gave her a hefty clue.

She'd been walking for about half an hour before deciding to stop somewhere for shelter - she was completely soaked, miserable, and didn't know the first bit of French beyond 'Hello'.

This was going to be a long week.]

[The rain has done nothing to damper Kio. He's bobbing along the street, arms loaded down with a candy colored umbrella and a rainbow array of shopping bags. He stops when he sees the miserable looking young woman]

When he offered her a sweater she puts her hands up, shaking her head]

No no, I'm fine really - they're new, I wouldn't wanna get 'em all dirty. It's alright, I'm tougher than I look

[He brandishes the sweater again. It's pretty feminine for a man's sweater, but that's how Kio rolls.]
