[Claudia is in the Louvre. She's never seen a place quite like it and has been wandering the halls with fascination since she got here. Now she is paused before this statue taking in its every curve and curl with fascination. There is almost something sad about the look on her face.]

It's funny, if you think about it. People talk so much about the horrible things people do, but look at what survives even with all of that.

Yeah. Even with all the wars and everything, if this is what ends up surviving even when things fall apart, that's got to say something, doesn't it?

I... wonder.

I know a lot of the secret history of my world and ... there were some very nasty conflicts, but I never heard of the "Necromantic Wars" ... if this is a world where it never happened, then maybe the history is different - if we were in a different version of Paris, there probably would be something, depending on how things developed.

Different worlds, I bet - I met someone who said the vampires where he was from were pale, sickly things that didn't shapeshift, and an Emperor from a world called Ivalice that didn't even have the nations we'd recognize. I mean, does the Castle of Eternal Night mean anything to you, or the name "Belmont"?

[Oh, he so does not know what he's about to get himself into.]
