You have to roll with it and not give her the satisfaction of knowing she got to you. Don't give her the show she wants. I know it's hard but it's the only way. You have to lie even to yourself, just fake a smile about it and try to push it out of your head.

Not face to face, L's protecting his identity as well, but Matt and I'll be with L and you'll communicate via an audio feed, can you use your little tie of yours to do that?

No, the bow tie only has a volume and dial to change the frequency to anything I want. I do have listening devices as a part of my glasses that come off though. You'd be able to talk to me but I wouldn't be able to talk to you.

The only other thing I have is the Detective boys' badge, if you have something that could match the frequency with it-then it should work as a way to communicate back and forth.

If it's possible, Matt will find a way. I warn you, L's not going to be too interested in the whole Kid thing. It might perk his interest considering how high the stakes are driven, given the prize Kid's after. But that's a big "maybe," L's gotten used to handpicking his cases and they tend to be high profile murder cases. Thefts with more than a million American dollars at steak is a big possibility but the money in the Author's Paris is really, essentially, worthless. I'll see what he says, because his input would be indispensable and if you two met up...let's just say you're both your worlds best detectives and the amount of brain power in the room would be beyond words.

I'm not surprised-I did a bit of research on Kaitou Kid's first heist and hardly anyone participated-they learned the hard way, I guess.

Maa, When he first sent a notice to Sonoko's mom she brought it to the agency to ask Occhan about it. I wasn't really interested at first-but the notice was mildly interesting so I gave it a try. Generally, I have no interest in thieves. Grand theft like Kid seems to be an exception.
