Story 1 ıÌ Sara Ìı Left outside alone // Intro [In person]
[Sara knew she was no longer at school. And after stepping out into the street, she was no longer in New York. In fact, she had no idea where she was. All she knew was that she was chilled to the bone, hungrier than she'd ever been, and completely alone.
Wrapping her arms around her thinning frame, she starts wandering down the street, eventually seeing a French signpost. She could read and speak French fluently, so that didn't bother her, but what did was how on Earth she got here.
Of course, she's completely oblivious to the dangers of the kishin that were stalking the city....]
[In Person]
My apologies if this sounds strange, but before we start introductions, it might be a good idea to get out of the open. There's monsters lurking around here.
[In Person]
Monsters..? What do you mean? Where am I?
[In Person]
I'm afraid there isn't much time to explain. I'll answer all your questions when we're out of the open.
You're currently in Paris, or a mimic of it.
[In Person]
[He seemed like a nice man, but she was still very wary. Plus the lack of food had left her a little light headed and confused as it was, so this wasn't helping]
..where are we going?
[In Person]
To the hotel around the corner, it's the only place that's not become over-run by monsters.
[There's a loud crash in the distance and the sound of a two-tone shriek permeating the air, making Hatori's heart jump into his mouth.]
.. We must get moving and soon.
[In Person]
O-okay
[In Person]
It is not normally like this, if that is any form of comfort?
[In Person]
It is a little, thank you
[As they run, Sara looks up around her at the buildings and shops, wondering which hotel they were going to..]
[In Person]
The monsters here, people keep calling them 'Kishin'. They are people who devoured the souls of others so they might become stronger. If you see one while we are here, you are to run. Understand?
[He was stern but only out of worry at this point. Especially as whatever it was making that noise lumbered past them, oblivious of their presence. For now at least.]
[In Person]
When she knows they're out of sigh, she peeks around the edge of the pillar, her eyes widening at what they just avoided]
They eat souls..? But that's..how is that possible?
[Her voice is hushed, as if she's asking herself more than him]
[In Person]
If we go, we go now. I'll explain all that I am aware of when we are out of harm's way.
[With that he makes a dash to the hotel's entrance. Wary of the gargantuan presence that was now ripping the bench to pieces.]
[In Person]
Once inside, she took her hand back, forgetting how cold she was for a minute as she looked around herat the lavish surroundings..]
[In Person]
Here, use this until we can find something else. Is there anything else you need?
[In Person] Hatori, you're like a strict butler XD
Thank you..um..something to eat would be lovely
[Normally she wouldn't have asked, and she would have found food by herself, but he was offering, and she was beyond hungry]
[In Person] Huuush, he's just trying to be niice
Alright, we'll get you fed and then find a place for you to stay. Do you have any preferences to food?
[He didn't mean to seem distracted, but to be honest he felt like a twitchy rabbit awaiting the hunters.]
[In Person]
No, not really.
[Beggars can't be choosers sprang to mind
I'm sorry for the trouble
[In Person]
Don't be silly.
[He pats her shoulder gently before approaching the restaurant.]
We'll have to start small, if you rush your food in your condition you'll only make yourself worse
[In Person]
Yes..that's what happened in India. When they tried to give homeless children food, a lot of them died..
[In Person]
It would be best if you were to stay inside and out of the sight of these monsters. I don't want you to get in harm's way.
no subject
no subject
I-I don't know, I was at school, and now I'm here
[Despite the fac she's dressed in rags and not a uniform, It still seems like the best thing to say]
Who're you..?
no subject
Eddie Riggs, what's your name kiddo?
no subject
Sara Crewe...what would there be for me to 'run into', exactly...?
[She's trying to sound confident, despite feeling the opposite]
no subject
Not exactly sure what they are, but they're called Kinshin. They're pretty prone to attackin' anyone wanderin' round.
no subject
Then I guess we shouldn't be outside for much longer then..where can we go?
in person
[but aw. for all Harley's flawed maternal instincts, her attention is certainly garnered by a little girl walking the streets alone. and while the appearance of a harlequin clown suit on someone who is certainly not a mime may be a bit frightening, the costumed female is all smiles and sparkles as she all but glides over]
You lost, cutie?
[In person]
Yes, I am. Do you know why I'm here...?
[In person]
Nope. Couldn't tell ya, cutie. I just woke up here myself, ya know. No instruction manual or nothing.
[In person]
Why're you dressed like that..? Not that there's anything wrong with it
[In person]
'S the only cloths I got, isn't it, cutie. And I don't know about you, but it's a little cold to be runnin' around naked.
[In Person]
Hey! Kid!
[In Person]
[In Person]
It's not safe to be wandering around by yourself.
[In Person]
[She wants to trust him, but her fear, her hunger and her better instincts are telling her otherwise]
[In Person]
[He speaks as gently as possible]
And it'd be safer if we could have this conversation inside.
[In Person]
O-Okay..
[In Person]
Follow me.
[He offers her his hand if she wants to take it]
[In Person]
She goes to ask him another question, but remembers what he said about talking inside, so she decides to wait until they're safe and sat down]
[In Person]
Are you hungry?
[In Person]
Y-yes, I am-
[Noticing the faceless waitors and waitresses..]
What's wrong with the people here...?
[In Person]
[In Person]
Not real..?
[Looking back at Touya]
Anything, really - I'm not fussy
Re: [In Person]
No, they're like place holders. They're there because they have to be. But they're not real people. They have no...auras.
