Hey, guys?

Is there anyone available who can do healing?

Like, spell-healing. I can't do it myself, and I found this kid - it looks like he got attacked back in Paris, he's in BAD shape, and he needs all the help he can get.

[OOC: Soma smells blood half a mile away; he found Conan out in the woods. He's not stupid, he knows if it'd been the Kishin the kid would be dead right now, and has noticed that someone's tried to tend it; he doesn't know what, or why, or who - though he IS kinda pissy that SOMEONE ATTACKED A LITTLE KID - but he's going full fluffy clueless mode for the post.]

Thanks - There's a clearing in sight of the lake that's out of reach of the Kishin, I've got it pretty secure.

[He gives one final nod before the feed switches off and he takes several small x-potions from his desk drawer and sets off. Thankfully he's fast enough to out run the monsters lingering. If anything the clearing is a blessing.]

Soma! .. Where is the boy?

He's right here. [He's sitting by a tree and has been holding Conan.]

I'm not actually sure what happened but - [And he's setting Conan down where Larsa can reach him easily.]

[Well shit. Of course Conan would somehow end up there.]

[Only one thing to do so he answers in Shinichi's voice, sounding tense and worried.]

Conan-kun?!

[he's seen some of Shinichi's posts, at least, so he does recognize the voice.]

Little kid, maybe seven or eight, right?

What hap-.... You know, I'll ask later.

That's right.

... I'm coming over there. Where are you? [It won't take too long to put the disguise together, which was one of the benefits have them having the same face.]

Don't worry; anything or anyone coming here trying to hurt the kid is going to get more than they bargained for.

Right. Thank you. [And he hangs up so he can go change into different clothes and do his hair in Shinichi's style. He does have a spare change of clothes on him of course, because he always has something on him just in case.

A few minutes later he heads for the lake, being careful to avoid being seen by any Kishin and particularly wary for signs of Gin, but then he sees the clearing and Conan with a white haired guy he figures must by the guy he spoke to over the network.]

Conan-kun!

[Conan looks up as someone is coming over-he's in a bright mood seeing as he can properly move both his arms again! No assisted living for him! -and then his mood plummets at the sight of Kudo Shinichi moving over to him, which wasn't possible so it had to be-That idiot!

--Too bad he can't say anything yet. Instead, he smiles brightly-doing his best to seem like an overly happy little boy]

Kudo-san! [Soma perked up too; he knew what he was about to be doing, and really did want to leave the kid with someone safe before he went dashing off to "be a bloody idiot".]

Is everything alright? I mean, besides the monsters swarming the manor, which, you know, apparently has to happen anywhere I go.

["Shinichi" doesn't answer Soma's question at first because the first thing he notices is the obvious fact that Conan seems to be fully healed.]

... Conan-kun? Hey, your arms are healed? But...

[He paused when he remembered that Soma had called for someone who knew healing magic. He turned to Soma and smiled a bit weakly.] Ah, I guess you found someone to heal him then. Thanks.

I'm afraid I can't tell you anything though. It's confidential.

Mm!

[he looks directly at the thief]

But is it okay to be out in the open like this?

Thank Larsa - he came running as soon as I'd posted.

[And muttered just loud enough to overhear, but not pressing it...]

[Soma just - GRINS at the comment about "being out in the open". He has fangs, and it's kind of a predatory grin.] For now it is - I'd like to see them try something.

Thank you. I'll remember to thank him if I see him.

[He crouches down next to Conan and ruffles his hair. It's an affectionate gesture, but it might also be Kaito taking the opportunity to tease Conan a bit, even though he was likely already mad as it was.]

Oi, I couldn't just stay hidden while you were hurt kiddo. Don't worry about it, I was careful.

[Yeah and he hears Soma muttering about that too, but he's not going to comment. The guy gives him a creepy feeling somehow, and there is the fangs, but he did help Conan and he seemed like an okay guy, so he's cautious, but not really worried about him.

Kaito-as-Shinichi stands up, studying him.] I wouldn't really be surprised after everything else I've seen since coming here if you could back that up too. [That doesn't seem like any sort of doubt of Soma's abilities.] Thanks for looking after him. I don't think I've caught your name though.

[No need to ask how Soma knew Shinichi's. Conan had made enough posts as Shinichi on the network that anyone who looked at backlogs would know it... which wasn't really a good thing in hindsight.]

[Conan glares at Kaito for half a second while his hair is ruffled before perking right back up and laying the little kid act on thick]

Really? Shinichi-niichan is the best! [he hugs him around the legs but he has another motive in that-Kaito just might be experiencing a sharp pinch somewhere on his leg]

...[He has siblings. Catholic family. Who apparently prove that growing up around him = immunity to the aura. He knows this game. It's kind of fluffy, really.]

Soma - I haven't been here real long, I showed up in Paris just before the Kishin did, so I'm ... er... still getting used to the place. [The timing does nothing for his theory that wherever he goes, MONSTERS.]

[Oh he felt that pinch, but he wasn't going to react to it.]

Well then, Soma-san, welcome to the Manor. It's not always this dangerous, but you get used to the chaos eventually... in a manner of speaking.

[Good. Conan is not happy with you.]

Ne! Shinichi-niichan! Can we go get something to eat? I'm hungry! [so we can get out of earshot and I can properly tell you, you're an idiot... and I can use both arms again :D!]

[He laughs, and it's slightly ...nervous/off.] I'm ... getting a little used to chaos, just from things outside here.

Say - if you need any help, let me know, alright? No offense, but you seem a little...

[Shinichi nodded and smile again.] None taken, though we can take care of ourselves when we need to most of the time. Still, I'll remember that. [They did need allies here.

[He turned and started back toward the Tardis.] Alright Conan-kun, let's go. It's been a long day, and I think we could both use something to eat.

Hai~!

[Conan chirps happily, quickly following after his 'niichan.' ...Also he just might have kicked the bottom of your shoe.]

[Awww. Lookit'em, squabbling without trying to let on that they're squabbling. :D ]

Good luck, you guys! I'm going to go see what I can do about the Manor.

[And he's going to be heading off, once you two are safely off]

[Yeah, yeah, Conan jeez.] Alright! Good luck to you too.

[... He probably shouldn't be running off to deal with the manor on his own, but then Kaito didn't really know what his powers were and he might be alright on his own for a while until everyone else was organized. For now he'd just worry about the scolding he knew he was about to get instead.]

[And here it comes now!]

Just like you'd be dead if he figured you out? [Kaito seems pretty calm about this.] I told you I wasn't going to let him see me. [In person, yet, and then not without several back up plans in place.]

Besides, I'd be just as dead if he figured out who I was, or did you forget we're kinda in the same boat here?

I'm not going to get killed. I'm not stupid you know. I thought you respected my abilities more than that.

[Conan stops dead in his tracks]

You don't get it, do you? He's smarter then me.

[Kaito stops as well.] He's older than you, that doesn't necessarily make him smarter as it does more experience.

Of course that doesn't make him any less dangerous. Still, he's also one guy with a gun in a place full of people with actual powers, no organization to back him and no one stays dead here. That might not stop him from trying to kill Kudo Shinichi if he sees him, but that's why I'm going to be about as careful as it's possible to be about this. The biggest danger he presents right not is him finding out who you are after all.

[And Kaito has almost as little sense of self preservation as Conan when it comes to people he cares about.]

[Conan just looks angrier]

[Kaito expression darkened.] No, Tantei-kun. I think you're the one who doesn't get it.

[he snaps!] You haven't seen HALF of what they can do!

[Conan freezes- that basically translates to 'I care about you Tantei-kun' which... in all honesty is touching but-but he's an idiot]

Then what the Hell are you doing gallivanting across the city at night!? Don't you know that if you did lure them out enough to get notice they'd wipe out all of second division and anyone involved in the Kid heists!?

[Kaito paused before answering.] What do you think the audiences and news cameras are for? If I do it right it'll be in a way not even They'll be able to just sweep under the rug! They have their limits after all!

But, what about you? Why are you fighting them when if you screw up Mouri-san, Mouri-tantei and everyone else connected to Edogawa Conan could be wiped out just as easily!?

Yeah-you'd force them to reveal themselves. Did you just not hear me when I said Haibara told me that would be like opening Pandora's box? Or maybe you don't quite get what that means!

So that means I'm doing this the right way while you risk everyone getting killed-oh but you can't stop can you? There's a high chance they've known your identity all along. I know the org probably checked dental records- They probably want you to find the damn jewel and then take out the entire task force.

And you're sitting in the same boat I am because I guarantee Vermouth knows who you really are. But you'd probably recognize the name Sharon Vineyard over Vermouth. It just a matter of does she feel like spilling secrets today.

Yes. But she probably hasn't told anyone or else you'd already be dead.

... I see. [And without another word he starts walking toward the TARDIS again. He's done with this argument. If Conan is not going to listen there's no point, and there are things to think about.]
