Page One: Settling in [In person]

[With the battle over, and the grounds free from the grasp of the Kishin, Light decides it is now time to pack up his scant belongings and explore the Manor proper. The place was courteous enough to provide him with a key, which he assumed meant at the very least he would have a room of his own. The timing couldn't have been any more convenient. After all, he didn't want to carry the Note on himself forever. Sooner or later, somebody would brush into him and suffice to say, awkward, potentially embarrassing, questions would ensue.]

[He mutters "Room forty-six" quietly to himself as he navigates the hallway. He notices as he walks through that everyone's names have been helpfully inscribed on the door. Heh. This is just too easy. He stops in front of his door--also labelled with his name--and unlocks it with his key, not certain of what he'll find inside.]

Well this is... unexpected.

[He shuts the door quietly behind him and stares at the room. The decor is familiar, the furniture is familiar, though there is one extra addition of which he approves of: a full length vanity mirror. He peruses the spines of the tomes on the bookshelf. Criminal Law. Introduction to Criminology. It was all there. Sudden curiosity compels him to pull out one title in particular. It amuses him to find that the porn is gone. It wasn't good anyway.]

[He removes the Death Note from his trouser pants. Now where am I going to hide this? He takes a quick look around to identify any temporary hiding spots. Between the mattresses. He carefully slides the Note between the mattresses and then sprawls out on his bed. He muses that even the mattresses appear to have the same amount of give to them.]

Now how am I going to get back home...?

((Please feel free to bother him!))
