[Accidental Audio/In Person] *-My childhood, diluted-*
[Over the feed, there's the sound of a door being shut as carefully as a currently slightly panicky eight year old can; he's trying to be quiet, really he is!]
[It's still audible, especially with a very small whine when the manor creaks and a noticeable jump.]
[He's practically whispering to himself in a continuation of the whine; he's ... pretty upset.]
Tousan's gonna kill mee ...
Not even my fault this time...
[For those in the hallway where his room is? There's currently a little amber-eyed blonde eight year old flattened against the wall, slinking down the hall and being ... incredibly jumpy and obviously a little terrified. He's actually dressed slightly normally for his age, if a bit bundled up in a slightly too-big jacket.]
[OOC: He's been reverted to eight years old, and ... well, it's just before he got sent to London. I'm also so not going to go hunting icons for him as a bitty. ._.; ]

[Nope, not buying it yet.]
Where is this? [No, he doesn't expect to believe the answer.]

[Seriously? That's the best you can come up with?]
So who kidnapped us?
[Yes Apollo. You are being slightly interrogated by a disbelieving eight year old.]

This is another "you won't believe me", but... the person who told me about this place says it's someone called "the Author".

[Related to Onibaba or the Tooth Fairy at all? He's eight, not stupid.]
[Either that, or somebody's got a really stupid alias/code-name. *this coming frm the kid who will one day be terrified of people named after booze.*]
Then why're we here?
no subject
.....I'm so sorry.
[Okay, he's good at picking up details, but you're a little hard to figure right now - if you're implying you're part of the court? Not that it'd make you less suspicious, somebody in the court can still be up to no good - ]
[When all else fails, sarcasm/snark.] Why, are you a criminal? [Which may be partly a baiting attempt, and partly an accusation.]
Re: .....I'm so sorry.
No, I'm a defense attorney. It's probably not the same where you're from, but see the little badge on my shirt? [He always wears it. Shut up.] It means I'm a defense attorney, back home.

Unless someone decides to stick-rattle the legal system back home AGAIN.]no subject
Huh?
YOU PULLED THE STRING.
Back home, the system is weighted against defense attorneys and their clients. [This has a bit of a Rant tone to it. God What Have You Done Now.] Because a defense attorney isn't officially defending their client until the night before a trial, the defense has little chance to find evidence of their own, especially since their client is already being held for the crime and the crime scene is in the police's hands. The prosecutors get first chance at all the evidence, with only a few things being handed to the defense attorney on the day of the trial- things like autopsy reports. Equally, if a defense attorney is lucky, they get their hands on some piece of relevant information, but a lot of defense attorneys end up basically allowed to cross-examine witnesses that the prosecution calls, because we're not allowed to call our own, normally, and that is it.
[...oh god you pulled the string.]
...and now he thinks you may be delusional.
You're not making any sense.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
..... okay yeah
Uh.
[Damnit, what did Mom say to do with a crazy person?]
[Oh right. Try not to set them off.]
[....Did he already do that though? He's not sure. He's so not coming out of his hidey-hole though.] That's - really wrong - people are supposed to be innocent first so that doesn't happen.
Pffhahahahah oh god.

I want to go home. [Even if home was about to not be home.]
no subject
I want to go home, too. [...Yeah, he does sound a little... mnnnrrrr over it. He does not want to live in a place that is a political powderkeg, he'd rather be back home and arguing with an entirely different blond than you, kiddo.]
no subject
You think someone around your case might've kidnapped you?
no subject
It's... always a possibility? I sort of have a record of finding the real culprit with my face.
no subject
[He's not saying WHICH COP...]
[They'll never let him out of the house again if he does.]
no subject
Maybe. I don't know. This place is weird- I showed up outside in a tent, but I wasn't tied up or anything, and if you look outside it's not like there's a fence or anything that I can see...
