[Accidental Audio/In Person] *-My childhood, diluted-*

[Over the feed, there's the sound of a door being shut as carefully as a currently slightly panicky eight year old can; he's trying to be quiet, really he is!]

[It's still audible, especially with a very small whine when the manor creaks and a noticeable jump.]

[He's practically whispering to himself in a continuation of the whine; he's ... pretty upset.]

Tousan's gonna kill mee ...

Not even my fault this time...

[For those in the hallway where his room is? There's currently a little amber-eyed blonde eight year old flattened against the wall, slinking down the hall and being ... incredibly jumpy and obviously a little terrified. He's actually dressed slightly normally for his age, if a bit bundled up in a slightly too-big jacket.]

[OOC: He's been reverted to eight years old, and ... well, it's just before he got sent to London. I'm also so not going to go hunting icons for him as a bitty. ._.; ]

Yeah, this place is... weird. I've only been here a couple days. [He's not even getting up to sit back up. He will if someone ELSE shows up, but.]

You wouldn't believe me if I told you. I wouldn't believe me if I told me, and I have this to tell me when people are telling me false or hiding something! [Apollo holds up his braceleted wrist.]

[identity profile] cantapollygize.livejournal.com 2010-11-29 11:50 am (UTC)(link)
[He's ignoring it for the most part.]

This is another "you won't believe me", but... the person who told me about this place says it's someone called "the Author".

I have no idea. I was supposed to be in court a day ago. [Apollo is making this face. D: orz my poor client I wonder if they're okay.]

Re: .....I'm so sorry.

[jkdhsfkljsdf what.]

No, I'm a defense attorney. It's probably not the same where you're from, but see the little badge on my shirt? [He always wears it. Shut up.] It means I'm a defense attorney, back home.

[identity profile] cantapollygize.livejournal.com 2010-11-29 12:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Not as big as my last one, why? Anyway, Mr. Wright can probably find someone to cover it for me, I hope. [orz]

[identity profile] cantapollygize.livejournal.com 2010-11-29 12:04 pm (UTC)(link)
I... have no idea. That's actually up to the prosecutors. [Unless someone decides to stick-rattle the legal system back home AGAIN.]

YOU PULLED THE STRING.

[identity profile] cantapollygize.livejournal.com 2010-11-29 12:12 pm (UTC)(link)
[Blink blink blink.]

Back home, the system is weighted against defense attorneys and their clients. [This has a bit of a Rant tone to it. God What Have You Done Now.] Because a defense attorney isn't officially defending their client until the night before a trial, the defense has little chance to find evidence of their own, especially since their client is already being held for the crime and the crime scene is in the police's hands. The prosecutors get first chance at all the evidence, with only a few things being handed to the defense attorney on the day of the trial- things like autopsy reports. Equally, if a defense attorney is lucky, they get their hands on some piece of relevant information, but a lot of defense attorneys end up basically allowed to cross-examine witnesses that the prosecution calls, because we're not allowed to call our own, normally, and that is it.

[...oh god you pulled the string.]

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

[identity profile] cantapollygize.livejournal.com 2010-11-29 12:15 pm (UTC)(link)
...The court system back HOME doesn't make any sense! Mr. Wright just got things changed so it wasn't relying solely on decisive evidence but there are still a lot of ways the system back home is unfairly weighted toward false guilty verdicts, and then the real criminal walks away whistling because someone else is hanging for it! [If he had a desk to slam his hands on right now, he so would.]

Pffhahahahah oh god.

[identity profile] cantapollygize.livejournal.com 2010-11-29 12:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Pff. I wish. And there aren't a lot of prosecutors out there that aren't above manipulating or forging evidence or calling in accomplished liars just for their records. [Apollo's scrubbing at his face a little, and sitting up.] But this is all stuff back home. Most people here probably aren't from back home. [Si-igh.] I don't think this is the best place to hide, if you're scared of people. I just... didn't want you to run into anyone who might be scarier than me. [That's a very lopsided smile.]

[identity profile] cantapollygize.livejournal.com 2010-11-29 12:28 pm (UTC)(link)
You ran away as your first reaction. You have something to fear from people.

I want to go home, too. [...Yeah, he does sound a little... mnnnrrrr over it. He does not want to live in a place that is a political powderkeg, he'd rather be back home and arguing with an entirely different blond than you, kiddo.]

[identity profile] cantapollygize.livejournal.com 2010-11-29 12:30 pm (UTC)(link)
[--gnerk.]

It's... always a possibility? I sort of have a record of finding the real culprit with my face.

[identity profile] cantapollygize.livejournal.com 2010-11-29 12:34 pm (UTC)(link)
[...Oh, kiddo. D:]

Maybe. I don't know. This place is weird- I showed up outside in a tent, but I wasn't tied up or anything, and if you look outside it's not like there's a fence or anything that I can see...
