Twenty Seventh Guitar Solo - Eddie Riggs [In Person]

[What is this?

LAUGHTER, FROM THE TREE? Any passer by who happens to glance up will see a black haired ten year old boy perched on a branch, a grin spread across his features as he tries to climb higher. His worn clothing catching stray leaves, sneakers digging into bark as he grabs onto another branch.]

I wonder if I can get up to the top- [A branch he grabs onto gives a distressing creak]

[Her voice gets marginally louder, since it seems like he's not going to yell at her or call her names.]

I don't have a dad...

[Nope, he's content to climb, stopping at the next branch to hold a conversation. He only looks a little sad at that bit of news before an idea hits him.]

I don't have a mom, so if you want we could share parents or somethin'!

[Her eyes go giant, and she starts to shake her head.]

N-no, I don't think so.

[She wouldn't wish Dahlia Gillespie on anyone.]

[And he gives a blink at that, concern obvious on his features.]

Uh, [ALMOST ASKS AWKWARD QUESTION- Resists thanks to Riggnarok's previous scoldings about this sort of thing.] I guess we could just share my dad then. He's really nice. Even if he gets mad that I climb trees.

[She brightens a bit at this, smiling tentatively.]

You don't think he'll mind?

He always takes care of everybody anyway, so if I asked he'd say yes. [Eddie swings his legs back and forth a little as he settles more comfortable on the tree branch.]

I'm Eddie by the way, what's your name?

[She stares a bit, like she can't quite believe someone would want to take care of everyone.]

Alessa.

I'm Eddie! [Oh god the cheer. You cannot escape! Though all the talk of parents makes him ponder, ponder as he moves to hang upside down off the tree branch to talk to Alessa a little better.]

Alessa, do you live here or did you just wake up here too?

[Yes, the cheer is throwing her for a loop. She stays rooted on the spot, terribly unsure what to make of him.]

Just woke up here.

Are we still in Silent Hill? I haven't seen you at school.

[One never expects the CHEERY roadie. His hair is falling in a tangled mess behind his head as he talks to Alessa while hanging upside down.]

Weiiiirdddd.

An I don't think so, I never went to a place called Silent Hill before.

[Well, that's a bit concerning.]

Have we been kidnapped?

[Eddie has woken up in strange places before, so this is too normal for him.]

I guess so. At least accordin' to some papers I found in the room I woke up in. [He pats his pockets before producing the welcome packet. Upside downadly holding it out to cure it of any folds.] It talks about some Author Lady takin' us here for a story or somethin'.

[Pardon her if she's skeptical.]

That doesn't sound like it makes sense.

[Eddie doesn't mind. He's still rather mindlessly hanging from the tree.]

Is kind of weird- but I just found the paper and so far I haven't really found any way outta this place.

[She tugs a bit at her hair uncertainly.]

Do you think they'll hurt us?

[Eddie tilts his head to one side, thinking on it a little. All while hanging upside down.] So far I've been able to walk around okay- so I don't think so.

If we were in danger or somethin'- we'd be tied up or be yelled at.
