Scath 09 § Raven § No place like Azarath [In person]

[Raven, now a whole lot younger, is wandering through the Manor, jumping at every noise and feeling less and less at ease. She didn't know how she'd gotten to be here, where ever 'here' was..it looked absolutely nothing like Azarath, and she was starting to feel scared that something was horribly wrong..]

((OOC: Raven's around 7 years old here, she's not in control of her powers at all, and she's pretty scared, so if you'e going to bump into her please be warned she may lash out in self defence XD;;))

[Dende can't help but chuckle at Raven's reactions. Once the story is finished he can't help but play along with it a bit more]

[Her eyes only get wider as se looks around the room, gripping his hand even tighter as she cuddles up to him]

Don't worry, he's not a big mean dragon like in the book. He's a magical dragon, named Shenron and he can grant wishes. would you like to see him? He's sleeping right now.

[She buries her head in his shirt, shaking her head firmly]

[Slowly, she looks up at him]

..really..? He's small..?

[Now she's curious]

Very small, while he's sleeping. He's sitting on my shelf right now.

[Dende sets the book aside and picks Raven up and heads to his bed. He sets her down, and takes the model of Shenron down from the shelf over his bed and sets it down next to Raven. He carefully removes the glass cover so she can get a better look]

His name is Shenron.

[She watches him curiously, and when he sets it down in front of her, she reaches out and pets the model dragons face gently with her fingertip]

..He's pretty..

He's very magnificent when he's awake too.

[he leans over to his bag and pulls out a Dragon Ball to show her]

He only will wake up when you gather all 7 of these and say the password. Then he gets very big and grants wishes. After that he goes back to sleep for a whole year before you can make wishes again. And these-

[he gives the Dragon Ball a little toss]

-scatter across the planet and turn to stone until Shenron is ready to wake up again.

Why does he grant wishes? What's in it for him?

[She holds her hands out, wanting to hold the dragon ball]

Well, it's his job, and maybe it's his way of saying "thanks for the fresh air". It must get pretty dull having to sleep all the time!

[He chuckles and hands her the Dragon Ball]

[Holding it delicately, she looks it over with intrigue. It was very pretty, and she kind of wanted to keep it. But, she knew how important it was, so after a minute, she gave it back to Dende, albeit a little hesitantly]

I guess..I wouldn't want to be trapped in a glass case for months..

Well, I'm not sure how much he minds it. I know he likes his fresh air but if you make him wait too long before stating your wishes, he begins to complain.

[Dende chuckles. Oh how he noticed little girls loved their shiny baubles.]

Raven, hold out your hand.

[She blinks, and holds her hands out again, waiting to see what he'll do]

[He holds his hand out over hers, and there's a little flash and suddenly a little six-star Dragon Ball appears in her hands. It's a little smaller than the ones Dende had, but it was the perfect size to fit comfortably into her palm]

Now, there's no dragon in that one. But it does look rather pretty doesn't it? You know, back on Namek my village kept watch over the 6-star Namekian Dragon Ball. The Namekian Draon Balls are much bigger than the Earth's though.
