15th Wish || Dende || Every Time He leaves the Mannor...
[Dende stirs, waking up on the bridge after his brutal fight with Zarbon. Very slowly he pushes himself up with his good arm and looks around. His head is fuzzy and he is having a difficult time focusing.
He spots his vest robe neatly folded on the snow where he left them. Groggily he stumbles towards them, and slips the vest over his head. While all lethal injuries were regenerated while he passed out, he is still not in the clear yet. His most noticable injury would be his lack of an arm, and perhaps the bleeding spot on his forehead, the rest have been concealed by the robe for now.
He reaches into his pocket and pulls out his blackberry to call for help. Then the shame of not being able to protect the Dragon Balls he had been entrusted with washes over him. He glares at the blackberry and in a moment crushes it in his hand. There, Zarbon would be able to call and threaten him once he found out that the Dragon Balls wouldn't work without the password. He lets himself fall back onto the snow, it felt good on his aching head
((He's on one of the broken bridges, in case anyone is up for helping him~))

Re: [In Person]
He absentmindedly wipes his face with his hand, when he pulls his hand back to look at it, he finds still fresh blood on it. He gingerly brings a hand to his forehead where the source of most of his pain was, he flinched as he touched it. He wanted to put pressure on it to try and stop the bleeding, but even the lightest touch seemed to hurt. He looks to the side to see he's gotten blood on the pillow]
Ah... I'm making a mess...
[In Person]
[He pats Dende on the arm and moves out of the room to get a washcloth to put on the wound that was in the process of healing. His own hand adding to the pressure to stop the bleeding, Ichabod wasn't leaving Dende's side.]
Who had done this to you?
Re: [In Person]
A ghost from my past... his name is Zarbon. It's a bit of a story...
[In Person]
[He returns the cloth to the bowl and wrings it out, replacing it to his head.]
Re: [In Person]
I was just a child when the attack happened. Frieza came to my village with his two right hand men, Zarbon and Dodoria. They made quick work of my people and took the Dragon Ball the village elder was entrusted with. I was the sole survivor at the time, though Frieza did me in later. Thankfully my people and I were wished back with the Earth's Dragon Balls, but Zarbon had been killed long before that.
[In Person]
So Zarbon, he was the harbinger of your people's initial demise?
Re: [In Person]
[Dende nods at the second bit]
Five villages slaughtered, including my own. The only reason they didn't slaughter the last village and Guru was that my village elder, Moori, destroyed the devices they used for tracking us...
[In Person]
[He covers up the discarded arm with a towel and places it in an ice chest.]
Besides the Dragon Balls being used for wishing, what other good are they? It does seem a bit silly that people are fighting over wishes.
Re: [In Person]
[He smiles a little at the mention of the Elder who primarily raised him]
Well think about it, the Earth's Dragon Balls had enough power to revive and entire race of people. Wealth, power, world domination, it can all be wished for. What I'm most afraid of is Zarbon wishing for immortality....
[In Person]
[And a smirk glides on his face.]
How well does he know the Dragon Balls?
Re: [In Person]
[He looks thoughtful for a moment, before he sighs]
Regardless Zarbon doesn't know how to use them. There's a password and my people never divulged that information to Frieza and his men.
[In Person]
[His expression turns thoughtful for a moment.]
Perhaps it is better that you say nothing more about them.
Re: [In Person]
[He looks off to the side, feeling quite guilty for bringing Ichabod into all of this]
I'm sorry, Mr. Crane. Now you're in just as much danger as I am, if not more, because I failed in my duties as gaurdian...
[In Person]
Worry not. I can take care of myself. If I can handle a headless horseman why should Zarbon be any different?
Re: [In Person]
[Dende nods, though he is still clearly worried]
If anything were to happen to you, or anyone because of my failure... I wouldn't be able to forgive myself. I'm sure your... oh dear I don't know how to call it, lover? W-well I'm sure she would be distraught, and it would all be on my head... and oh dear...
[He brings his hands up to cover his face, as if he wasn't beat up enough physically, he had to do it mentally too...]
perhaps I should just give in to Zarbons demands and avoid this whole mess...
[In Person]
My girlfriend....my lover....she understands this is part of my duty to protect the people and I will do what I must to protect it and this protection does include you in the equation. Do not feel guilt, shame or remorse for my decision. It is the duty of a constable.
Re: [In Person]
Very well... but if I get word Zarbon is after you as well, I will give myself up.
[of course getting word of such a thing would be difficult when you're bedridden and your blackberry has been crushed and left on the snow...]
[In Person]
I shall give him no reason to come after me. Rest. I will be here with you.
Re: [In Person]
[And with that Dende finally lets himself drift off into a well neded sleep]
