Scath 14 § Raven § [Text - Private to Iroh]

If you're not busy, can we meet somewhere? I have questions and apparently you're the one to ask

[Iroh is curious. What could she need to know? Further things about Firebending? But he puts his questions aside and answers her.]

of course. were would you like to meet?

Anywhere is fine - I'm in the Parlor now, or I could come to you.

i'll come find you.

[Minutes later Iroh walks into the parlor, hands behind his back, humming to himself.]

What is it you need?

[Switching her blackberry off, Raven stands up to greet him]

Everything that's happening this plot, you're the one that knows the most about it, right?

[He considers her question.]

Well, everything that has happened comes from my home, so yes, I suppose I do.

[Nod]

Last week, I only had the ability to create fire. Now I can do the same but with the other elements as well. I've spoken to a few other people and apparently I'm the only one who can control the other elements as well

Is there a reason or am I just the Authors favourite this week?

[Her tone is monotonous anyway, but the last sentence is particularly sarcastic]

[Iroh remains quiet, stroking his beard in thought. Is it possible? Would the Author have seen it fit to make one of the manor residents the Avatar?]

There exists in my world a being who can do what you can. Someone who can manipulate all four elements and serves as the bridge between our world and the Spirit World. They call him the Avatar. If you are an Avatar, then I think you may be the answer to our problems.

What do you mean, 'the answer'?

[All Raven wanted was to be left alone - of course the Author had seen fit to put her in the spotlight.]

What do I need to do?

It is my belief that the spirits have been angered by the destruction of their shrine. They have been expressing their anger with us for the past week. As the bridge between the two worlds, it will fall to you to communicate with them, to calm them.

[She is young, but older than the little boy who serves as the Avatar back home. And she looks sixteen. Old enough for her to know about her duties anyway. But the task on her shoulders is a great one.]

If you could find a way into the Spirit World...though I am not sure how you could do it here...but that would be the best way to do it.

[She was only 14, but she was mature beyond her years. She listens intently, and just nods]

I can get to the spirit world easily, that won't be an issue. As for calming them down, I'll do my best.

I have been to the Spirit World in the past myself. If you need me for anything, for guidance, you only have to ask.
