002 - Naomi Misora - [Audio]
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Naomi Misora, and like a number of you, I have taken an interest in the recent murders. However, individual investigation can only go so far. If any of you are interested in collaboration, I am willing to trade information regarding the killer and his victims. I am no detective and I do not claim to be one. I am simply trying my hardest to make sense of the present situation. I don't care who catches the murderer. I don't care how it's done. I just want the killings to stop.
I understand that some of you would rather not get involved. Perhaps some of you don't even care. In that case, I apologize for the unsolicited message and ask that you simply ignore what doesn't apply to you. However, for those who are actively trying to track down the murderer and don't mind sharing any useful news, please feel free to respond. I will in return relay what information I have accumulated so far as well.
Thank you.
[Though of course, Misora doesn't intend to reveal everything she knows to just anyone just yet.]
[Private to Tom / No hacky!]
If you're interested, I would like to request your help. I'm pretty sure I know who the killer is.
[Private to Mello / Also no hacky!]
I thought you'd like to know, someone claiming to be L contacted me yesterday.

If there's anything I can do, please tell me.

But surely you are aware of the riot that's been occurring. [Her frustrated tone that she had forcibly held back earlier is now clearly evident.] Obviously, some of these people just don't seem to care! I just wish I knew how to get through to them.
[Audio]
On top of that, the chaos caused by it will only make things easier for the killer. If things were still organized, the investigation would be far easier.

[L, as a matter of fact. Naomi sighs.]

Thank you for replying. I'm glad you had personally taken a good look at the victims. Then surely you've noticed how elaborate their deaths have been. Would you agree that whoever did the killings had been obsessively methodical?
[Private] [Audio]
I think they've been planning, as well - probably observing the Manor; I doubt they know any of their victims, but they've been watching - they're too careful to not have been sure they'd be alone for the span of time of the killing...
Watching when and where people go places to be alone... so we're either dealing with someone with enough technical savvy to have bugged the Manor, someone with scrying magic, or someone who can maneuver in places they wouldn't be seen, like the air ducts.
[Private] [Audio]
Very observant. Yes, the crime scene was speckless save for the gore he intentionally left behind for us to find. I've been thinking there are two ways to catch the criminal.
One, we figure out his hideout and seek him out directly. Or two, we wait for him to make an appearance himself at the chosen location for his next murder. The first would involve searching the entire manor, and seeing as how careful this guy had been, I wouldn't be surprised if he had more than one hiding spot. He could simply move around, making it difficult for us to track him down. The latter would involve us figuring out who the next victim is or where it will take place based on some pattern of the previous murders. Once we figure that out, we can wait for the killer to make his move and catch him then. Neither options are particularly simple to secure.
I haven't been able to make a connection amongst the victims myself, especially since I haven't been here long enough to really know very many people. Perhaps you can help me out on that.
One thing I do notice however, is that every death occurred in a public setting. The gym, the library, and now the parlor. It would be so much easier to kill the victims in the privacy of their own rooms, which are easy enough to get to through the air ducts, as you've mentioned yourself, but he opted for a public location. I don't know. I just find that odd. But of course, it not like anything else he's done so far has been considered normal either.
[Why yes, she does like to talk a lot when making progress on a case.]

I only arrived here recently, but it's nice to see someone trying to do something about this chaos.
I've been told it's not always like this so that's a relief.
I'll be sure to keep an eye out for anything suspicious and report to you should I see it, but I probably won't be very helpful as I don't know the nature of people here.
[Audio]
But it's fine. I'm not exactly a veteran myself, so any help is appreciated. Um, have you at least seen the victims?
[Audio]
I just wanted to lend my assistance to show I'm on your side. It does seem a little suspsicious that I turn up as a new person here and murders start occurring. I'm trying to put myself in the clear.

The third is a kid found in the parlor. [Tone very serious] It's getting out of hand. Where should we meet?
[Voice/Private]
I have a suspect in mind already, although I don't know how to track him down. I an certain, however, that he will not approach me, so I think it's best that we stick together as well. Where are you now?
[Voice/Private]
We need something to work with and we've got way too many on these cases and some are doubling up. What the hell kind of forensics nightmare is this?
[Voice/Private]
I had hoped people could collaborate, but it seems that was too much to ask. At least we all have a common goal, and taking down the killer is all I want to do right now.
Was there ever any doubt that this mess had been inevitable? I mean from what I heard, the previous legal system completely hinged on just one person right?

I understand. Are you at least at a safe location? [Though what constitutes safe, she's not even sure of anymore. B doesn't move in expected ways.]
