Fourteenth Act // [Video] - No longer we'll sing through the day, of the lives we lost and reclaimed
[Kuja appears on the feed, tossing his hair over his shoulder and making a melodramatic sigh. Everything going on this week was ridiculous. Normally he enjoyed a bit of chaos for the sake of entertainment, but.. this was nothing short of a droll performance with over-rated actors and actresses who hadn't a clue what they were doing.]
Has it occurred to none of you fools that, perchance if you'd asked for my assistance, I could have saved all those who have died so far? You would have had your answers. You ask for anyone with information to come forward - How about you simpletons all swallow that damn pride and talk to one another? You're beginning to make me doubt your supposed intelligence. Or shall I continue insulting what little you all seem to possess between you?
Too many cooks spoil the broth and that's apparent here. Your petty pride complexes are making this entire 'case' counter productive and making things easier for the killer to strike again. Why else did Sheldon and Oz unnecessarily die? Because you weren't quick enough to work together after the first death. Your incompetence is nothing short of unspeakable.
[The feed cuts out.]

Whining is what a small child will do if their mothers won't baby them. I'm making an objective observation. I'd like to see you make me try, you can ask 'Mello-san' what happened to him when he tried to impose his foolish ideals.

Dividing into groups without coercing with one another is helping nothing.

The fact is, if they're doing as well as you say they are then it could turn the tables on him. Let him know that they know his game. Isn't that what you commoners' guards do when making public announcements or putting wanted posters around. Increase awareness or something?
The detectives are creating the exact same panic amongst people that this killer quite obviously wants by not trusting anyone. If you want to avoid it then shock and scare them all. Give them the bluntest truth possible.
[text]
Even if we knew who the guy was, and even if he does know what's going on, which I suppose he could, publicizing the whole investigation is not going to help at all. Especially if they really don't know who the killer is yet. Hell, especially if they did know and just haven't caught them yet, because then we'd probably have a lynch mob on our hands. The point of the justice system they've been trying to build here is to cut down on the chaos, not make it worse.
[text]
Who cares if the feckless coward gets slaughtered by a lynch mob? Death isn't permanent here. He'd be back after not long, and be wiser to try and kill people here again. Frankly with all he's done, the chaotic neutrals like myself come off smelling like a rose. Leave him to die, he won't be missed.
[text]
I'm sorry, but not all of us come from the fucking middle ages where it's okay to break down some jerk's door and hang him, and death not being permanent here doesn't change that. He'll get caught and punished, but not by some random mob, because that sort of thing is what we're trying to avoid happening here.
[text]
Why don't you have fun thinking that one over? You're one of a minority. Perhaps we're not as 'civil' as you'd like to think yourself. But I don't care. and I've certainly heard more than one person agreeing with me.
[text]
I'm not so sure you're right about that. This sort of thing where everyone thinks the cops aren't doing enough happens in my world all the time. That doesn't mean they're right.
Still, you might have a point too, since a lot of us do come from worlds where the rules are different, but that's why, while we're all stuck here together dealing with each other, we need to agree to follow a universal set of rules in this place. That way we don't end up tearing each other apart. Maybe they're not going about it in a way that's to your liking, but at least they're trying.
[text]
Perhaps if you listened to what other people wanted this time rather than just imposing your own sense of it upon people then we might be a lot happier and less of these riots.
[text]
I'm not actually one of them you know. I help out where I can, and I do agree with why they established the justice system in the first place, and I do think they're honestly trying to do good here, but that doesn't mean I totally agree with how they originally went about it. The guys who got punished by the original system getting their stuff back obviously means the Author's done playing with this, but that just means they have a chance to start over and maybe this time they will listen to everyone else, if you guys actually give them a chance.
I hope you'll have some actually useful suggestions to give when that does happen, but either way, I'm done arguing with you about it. Sorry for wasting your time.
