{12 Collar} Who turned off the lights? [In Person]
[Tom uses a flashlight to try to find the source of the problem. Without knowing the technology used to run the lights, he was feeling a bit out of his league.]
Crap. Hey, is anybody here?!
[The eerie silence of the hotel save for the background sounds of the wind blowing and the occasional scrapping of branches against the window has Tom on edge.]
Dinosaurs...shouldn't be here. This is bad...real bad.
[The sounds of clicking on the tile and scraping along with screeches causes Tom to freeze.]
Oh shit....
[Now it was time to run.]

Ah!
[Once he sees it's Piccolo, he he lets out visible sigh of relief.]
Thank god it's you. I don't know what's following me but I don't suggest sticking around, man.
no subject
Get behind me, kid. This won't take long.
[Piccolo moves his head to either side, cracking his neck. He was more then a bit surprised at the kids reaction to him, especially after their previous encounter all those months ago. Well, perhaps he didn't remember much...
Regardless, Piccolo knew exactly what was following Tom, and exactly where it was...]

The raptor stared down this new one and lowered her head, readying herself for a powerful pounce. Two for the price of one isn't a bad catch....]

WATCH OUT!!
no subject
He frowns a bit. That was hardly a FRACTION of his power. He should have been able to kill that thing with a LOOK. Still it should be enough to get the thing away...]
no subject
Even though it wasn't a one shot kill, that didn't mean that it wasn't going to simply dismiss it. The raptor screeched and screamed, turned and ran down the hall. It was diverted for now.]
no subject
He looks over his shoulder at Tom.]
You alright kid?
no subject
[He gulps and straightens up but still is on high alert.]
Dino's gonna come back and I'm not ready to be popped as the vitamin.
[A sheepish chuckle comes from the mostly stoic cop that still appears nervous.]
Flintstones sorta switched around here. Where's the harbor?
no subject
Come with me kid, I'll get you there. It's not like I've got anything better to do.
[He turns around to lead the boy out of the room with the power storage. Debating whether or not he should over to fly the kid over to the harbor... but the idea of swinging the kid over his shoulder again has him on edge]
no subject
Hey, I didn't ask to become Dino's breakfast! You think I like being chased around this place because I'm bored?
no subject
You can get there yourself if you want, it doesn't make any difference to me.
[Piccolo turns forward and continues on walking, grumbling irritably all the while]
ungrateful little brat
no subject
I'm sorry. I just want out of here. I'll follow you and I won't himhaw a word in complaint.
[Not to mention his own pride took a hit too.]
no subject
Kid, come here.
no subject
What's up?
no subject
[Now how to do this as least awkwardly as possible? Piccolo REALLY wasn't one for personal space breeches, unless it involved hitting things. Well better to just grab him and get this over with.
Piccolo grabs Tom and tucks him under his arm before taking off to the skies!... this was obnoxiously reminiscent of that one time with that pirate...]
no subject
AHHHH!! THIS IS NUTS!!!
no subject
What now?!

[And Piccolo once more takes off towards the docks. He'll be glad once his favor is paid in full.]
no subject
as promised, here's the fling
[Well, of course there is. She can sense him.]
Don't you know it's dangerous here? Someone's set the prehistoric monsters loose.
Woohoo!
Yeah, I can see that. Looks like P.T. Barnum forgot the disclaimer in the brochure. What do we do now? My training didn't include mindless carnage.
no subject
That talking rabbit mentioned boats off the island, and I intend to reach them. I'll be damned if I end up eaten.
[And she's got a few tricks to ensure that she doesn't~]
no subject
[Tom gives a once over in the room and decides it's better to stick with people that know what's going on and where to go than to try to figure it out himself.]
Thanks, Emma. I remember that you helped out the last time. That makes you a hero in my book.
[Tom's starting to be a little more relaxed physically but he's still on alert.]
Lead the way.
no subject
[Alright, so he's observant. And cute, in a boyish sort of way.]
I'll try and lead us out, but don't rule out getting lost as a possibility.
no subject
[He puts the shot-gun to his shoulder and nods. Somehow, he became unusually calm in a panic situation but dismisses it as her presence is helping along.]
I didn't exactly bring a compass but if I recall, it's right, left, down one and right. Or we could find the nearest window and jump on the worst case scenario.
[He's looking around to make sure that there are no hidden surprises around corners.]
I have a question. Can you sense these things?
no subject
No. They're animals. I can only sense the minds of humans.
By the way, you remember the path correctly. I don't know where it will lead us, but it's correct.
[She took the liberty of double-checking what he said against what he remembers.]
no subject
There's nothing that gets passed you. I'm a mnemonist so it's hard for me to let things go by without notice.
[He makes his way through the compound to the jeeps and finds that some are gone while the others ran on battery power.]
Well, this sucks. We can't drive those.
[He begins looking around to see if he could spot one.]
no subject
Oh, this will take forever. Is there any way we can get the power back on?
