First Study •§• Leonardo •§• New blueprints [In person // Intro]
Agniolo! Puoi venire qui un momento? Ho bisogno che tu-
[Stepping out of his room and expecting to be met with his dark, chaotic studio, Leonardo is cut short when he see's a long corridor, stretching to either side. He pauses, half in the door and half out, before crossing the threshold completely, closing the door behind him. He hesitates, but only for a moment, before his curiousity gets the best of him, and he heads towards a nearby staircase.
As he descends it, Leonardo tried to think of possible reasons why he was here. The Borgia, perhaps? Had they heard of his inventions? If that were the case, they wouldn't have left him so unguarded. And that didn't explain how his entire workshop was here, in tact (or, as in tact as was possible).
Doing a little jump down the last step, Leo smiles to himself as he folds his arms behind his back, and takes a moment to look around his new surroundings]
Ho la sensazione che questa sta per diventare molto interessante...*I have a feeling this is going to become very interesting*...
(Feel free to bump into him~!)
no subject
I have been told so, but then again, I've also been told I couldn't be more of a stereotype - for an artist at least. But I am a hopeless romantic, as it happens, so I suppose it could be far worse
[He pauses]
Now, la mia donna, I have a favour to ask of you - you are more than free to decline, but I would be honoured if you would accept
no subject
Alright, I'll help as best I can within reason.
What is this favour?
no subject
Would you consider modelling for a portrait? I normally wouldn't ask soon after meeting someone, but you are so beautiful, I cannot help myself
no subject
Oh... erm...
Really? You want me to model for you?
[she blushes]
I'm really not that beautiful, but thank you very much. Of course I'd be happy to model for you if that's what you really want. I don't know if I'll be any good though...
no subject
Davvero?! Really~? Grazie, la ringrazio molto! *(Thank you so much!)
[Still smiling broadly, he leans back in his chair]
I've yet to hire a model who has been anything but splendid - I only ask you be yourself~
[For a second, he looks genuinely confused, before laughing]
Surely you must be joking? You're stunning, Signora - forgive me if I seem overbearing, but if you stepped one foot into Firenze, you would not have space to move for the men who would want to know your name
no subject
Gosh... thank you. I don't really know what to say.
My husband said I'm getting a bit old and chubby... I can't remember the last time I've been so flattered.
[she takes a big gulp of wine as she tries to think of something to say, also trying to hide her blush]
...erm... yes, but I'd be happy to model for you. Whenever you're free don't hesitate to call on me, I'm never busy.
no subject
You don't need to say anything, I'm sorry..sometimes I get a little over the top..-
[At the mention of what her Husband said, his smile dips]
..Your husband said that..? Then, he must be visually impaired. And besides, age and weight do not dictate beauty. Many people who I've drawn have been outside of the normal ideals of what 'beauty' is.
But honestly? You mustn't let him speak to you like that Signora- ah, I apologise. It is none of my business.
no subject
No, I know, I shouldn't let him speak to me like that. If I'm being completely honest I should walk away from him, he's not a nice man.
But I won't go into all the gorey details, that's not what you want to hear.
Tell me more about your art, what's you speciality?
[she pours herself another glass of wine and tops up his]
no subject
I won't pry, but yes, that sounds like the best thing for you to do.
[Indulging her subject change]
Painting is my favourite medium, though I love working with charcoal. It adds a darker, almost..aloofness to the piece. A quiet beauty, like death.
no subject
[she contemplates that silently for a moment]
You won't believe what I say to you now, picture it more as a dream if that helps, but I've stood at the edge of the end of everything. The end of time, the end of space, the end of life, the end of existence itself. ... There could never be words to describe that, the sheer power of loss... the lack of the existence of being...
[she rubs her eyes as she tries to explain the unexplainable to him, then gives up.]
Sorry, I know that doesn't make any sense, I don't mean to ramble.
no subject
[He really wasn't sure if she was being metaphorical or not..how could she be speaking from experience?]
No no, it's fine - it was an intriguing idea
As for death not being beautiful..well, I suppose the difference between optimists and pessismists is whether or not they see eternity as peaceful or lonely
no subject
I really don't mean to be so depressing, honestly.
[she chuckles]
I'll show you where my room is when we go back upstairs, then if you need me at all you know where to find me.
People here seem friendly, mostly, so there shouldn't be any problems though.
no subject
Do not worry, we can all be depressing at the best of times
[
Apart from Sir Sparkle Butt here]That sounds good! I've met a few good people already, but it would be nice to have somewhere to go should I need it. Grazie~
