[13th Calculation] Recoil [In Person]
[Gene hasn't been seen since he met Nina in the hall. After being received so coldly, he did the first thing that he shouldn't have done and that was to lock himself away from everyone else. He had a lot to think about and the crushing blow he received on an emotional level killed his ability to remain somewhat sociable.
Sitting in the library, he's reading a book on mental illness. Frustrated after reading it for an hour, he quickly gets up from his seat and throws the book across the room in a brief fit of rage, running his fingers through his short cropped hair.
The impact from the book and its drop knocked over the vase on the opposite side of the room. He didn't want to admit to himself that he's starting to fall apart himself. The loss of his wife back home, the stress of uncertainty if his daughter was okay, the rejection he felt from Nina, the numerous tortures that the Author had put him through not to mention the absence of the friends he made all came crashing down on him.]
Fuck this.
[He turns around in the opposite direction where he threw the book and out of the library.]

[He pulls out his pen and rips a sheet of paper from his notebook. He begins writing out a scenario using the paper as a visual aid.]
Let's say that this point is the Manor and this point is your world and this point is you. The Manor is the stabilizing factor in this scenario and you are the catalyst. Now there can't be more than one of us existing in the same place at the same time doing the exact same thing simply because if that were to occur, everything that you are would cease to exist.
Now, in your world, time freezes. However there is another theory. Time continues but you're existing along side as if nothing happened. Think of it as a dream state. You know you exist and you're here living among others from other worlds in which upon your return home, this place would be a dream to you. Does that make any sense?

[This is what he firmly believed to be true instead of a frozen time that made no sense to him at all.]

[At least it was a start.]

[She isn't going to ask why he's called the Doctor. For all she knows, it's part of his chat handle and it stuck.]

[It's one of the biggest pet peeves that Gene has about people and their long winded explanations. He's more a to-the-point kind of guy.]
