[Megamind is sitting with his legs crossed in the observation lounge overlooking the cargo hold. His drones that he had reprogrammed are busy gathering materials from various places on the ship that were considered gear adrift and collected them in the cargo hold. He has a small drone in his lap that he's petting like a cat as it makes a *bawng* in response. The lights are off and only the light from the little droid is seen that shows his blue face in the shadow.]

Greetings all of you of the Man-or. I have a message to deliver of utmost importance. I have become aware of the plight that everyone has faced whilst we dwindle away and toil through our countless endeavors through out the span of time that our dear Auth-or has a habit of throwing monkey wrenches into our gears of equilibrium. I propose an option.

I have begun to build a powersuit to counter any attacks that we may face. However, a team of heroes, a team of noble-heart and mind of super proportions would be beneficial to our cause. Anyone willing to take up this mantel would be remembered as the greatest of all!

So take your time...search your core and return to me with a mess-age. Ciao-ciao!

You're putting out a call for superheroes. Lucky for you that just happens to be my profession back home.

Now, is your goal to create a device to protect the manor residents or to attack the Author herself? One of these might be possible, the other, not so much. But still, consider me interested.

Good! What I intend to do is build a device that would allow the residents to be protected in case there's another attack like the one that happened before I arrived. No one is saying yet just what that attack was...it must have been really bad if it causes people to shut that part of their mind off. Emotions ran high with trepidation...which is understandable.

In any case you're wondering, I'm Megamind, defender of Metrocity and the most handsome of heroes where I'm from.

Hm. How about someone that can link minds in case communications fall which is highly useful in the event of such an emergency, although that only helps if people are open to the idea, yes? Yes. Ooh, and as a headmistress of an institution, which is helpful, a person with your skills should be most useful for positioning and tactical training.

Ooh! Any help is help appreciated! The only thing I would be concerned about is your safety...which is an incentive for me to build an exo-suit for those that can't take the punishment. Hm...a hitman you say with a taste for explosives.

[He proudly points his thumb into his chest as he states this. If he was anything he was durable. He pretty much got slammed into things, stabbed, blown up, or all of the above in the average fight]

I'm best at mid-range fighting, in a field with lots of obstacles. I've got good reflexes but I'm a little slow, but I've got ways of making up for that!

Oh, this? It's called a brainbot. You see, one of the droids broke when the gravity went a little bonkers and I took the parts that I could use to create it. Don't worry. It's completely safe.

[The bot does the one thing that he completely ignored before and it bites down on his hand....hard, letting out a high pitched scream.]

So that goes back to my original question. Why don't you pilot the unit yourself? You do not wish to be "remembered as the greatest of all" as you put it earlier?
