{17th Collar} I've got a long way to go....[In Person]
[Tom managed to get out of the wreckage with a lot of cuts and a broken arm. Still, that didn't stop him from grabbing his gun to take a look around. He's not sure if this is hostile territory or not. He takes a risk and calls out. The alien night sky didn't help his metal capacities.]
Is there anyone out there?!
[He moves toward a campsite....]

Hello?

Hey, sorry to barge in on you like this...I'm Tom. Tom Hanson. Man, I hate this place.
[He groaned as he put his gun away and slowly knelt down in front of Oz.]
Looks like you got pretty banged up too.
no subject
Just a few scrapes, nothing can can't be sorted easily.

How's your grip?
[He never thought that in a million years that he would have to ask a kid to help him with this.]
Another question I need to ask is how's your stomach? I'm going to ask you to do something that's pretty icky and I need your help.
no subject
I think my stomach's fine.

[He settles himself in a good, strong seated position and steels his mind for the pain he's about to go through. Without the use of locals, this was really going to hurt. It coarsely reminded him of the time he was shot, not once but twice. His first gunshot was embarrassing.]
Grab here and here.
[He indicates this by pointing to the spot just above his wrist and the other slightly below the elbow.]
I'll need you to pull and twist.
no subject
Right.

One more. You need to get it to pop. Don't be afraid, okay?
[His voice, despite the pain, was still soft and patient.]
no subject
Think I got it that time.
no subject
After a few moments, Tom calms down from the burning pain and looks at Oz with a nod.]
You got it this time.
no subject
Don't you need anything else?
no subject
[Now it was time to make the splint and sling...then he realizes that he'll need help with that too.]
Do you know how to make a splint?
[He removes his belt to make the sling.]

[He's not used to explaining these things so he'll do the best he can.]
Okay, just take this and break it in half.
[He hands over a small branch he found while he was looking around. He knew that he would need it so he grabbed it.]
Then you take one and put it on side of my arm with the other on the other side. The trick is...crap, I'll need something to tie both ends with. Uh...did you happen to grab any material on your way out? I have zip ties but that could be a problem later.

[At least with the sling it at least reminded him that his arm shouldn't be used.]
no subject
Shouldn't we find a safer place next?

[He's feeling pretty stupid for not paying attention when his dad took him camping.]

and la la la LATER IN THE WEEK LALALA
Mr. Tom! Mr. Tom!
[Dende happily bounds up to him, looking a little worse for where and missing a good chunk from his right ear... but it will take MORE THEN THAT to take the happy out of Dende]
Woohoo!! Mission accomplished!!
There you are! You made it out okay. Gosh, I'm really sorry that I didn't have the chance to check up on you. I kinda bashed my arm up pretty good.
[Actually, his body hit an open door from being jostled around and it snapped his arm in two.]
Re: Woohoo!! Mission accomplished!!
[But FIRST! Dende reaches into his pocket and pulls out some jolly ranchers he had materialized earlier and hands them to Tom]
Here! This will make your tummy happy while you wait.
[And he holds his hands out in front of Tom and a faint light emits from them. The injures should be fading away as though they were never there]
no subject
Thanks.
[Pulling the wrapper with his teeth, he unwraps it with his good hand and pops the hard candy into his mouth.]
You little green healing machine. Aren't you ever tired?
no subject
[The little light fades out and Dende pats Tom's arm]
How does it feel? All better right?
no subject
Thanks. That's really good. All better.
no subject
I'm so glad! You're all better~ You're all better~
no subject
Yep! Thanks to you. Okay. So what's next? Need any help finding people?
no subject
Hmmm.... I think I'll take a break! You're arm was in bad shape, and I've been flying for a while. I'm a little tired!

[It was one of his favorite things to do when he was a kid while he was camping with his father.]
