Da Vinci had provided Near with a detailed, labelled map of the manor on the 10th of April, which clearly indicated that a man named Ryuzaki had been living with a Light Yagami, a situation that could not be marked off as mere coincidence. Since then, Near had confirmed that every new arrival were not in any way related to L except for the second man that claimed to be named Ryuzaki.
On one hand, this could be that latter Ryuzaki putting on some desperate display for attention. (Although Yagami could pull off a subpar L, doing so in this kind of senseless manner, with L around no less, was not his style.) The only question that remains is what could he possibly gain from this, knowing that L is already here?
