Cake & OCD 003 - [Video / Garbled Audio]
[[The screen may look as though it's going to be showing someone's face about any moment, but it seems otherwise has been planned for the system by the giant "
" spaced out on the screen in a fancy lettering. Guess who's found his predecessor's method for posting anonymously in this fashion at least? His voice is high, garbled and un-gender-specific via this method though there is a hint of baritone in the after-effect.]]
This is L.
I've noticed from a recent arson that many detectives have come forward to 'solve' this rather hum drum case. So this begs the question, just how many people out there are detectives or involved in enforcement for that matter? My curiosity has gotten the best of me.
I refuse to respond to anyone not using a secure, unhackable line.
That is all.

[Later//In Person -- Locked to BB.]
[[L is having a horrible time trying to move something he's deeming clean enough to take with him to his room from in the hallway that he's currently calling the way to his home. He's got his sleeves down over his hands and wants more than anything to not be touching the dirt infested room or the large book-case that he's trying to move right that moment. He sighs after a mighty effort of a pull and stands back with frustration on his sighed breath.]]
Ugh. I wish Watari was here.
[[He blinks and looks over his shoulder toward the end of the hall when he hears some creaking, furthermore to the other side when he hears creaking again. It's not until the book-case is almost on top of him that he tries his best to move out of the way and after the dust settles, L tries to crawl out of it, coughing and sputtering.
He pauses and looks back when his legs won't move and shares both a 'FML' moment and a moment of despair. The damned thing has fallen on his legs and though it doesn't feel like they're broken, that thing - be as strong as he is - isn't moving from the position of almost flat on his face that he ends up in if he doesn't twist himself around.]]
Damnit.

[Video| Private/unhackable] Apologies for lateness, orz ;_;
[Video| Private/unhackable] DONT BE SORRY I screwed up @_@
How do you know we're not from the same world?
[[He's heard that there's been a 'him' before, as ...odd as it feels but, no need not to find out in this way too.]]
There are several others from your world that I've dealt with. You are, apparently, quite well-known, particularly in circles of detective work and law enforcement.
Those others didn't recognize several large and very widely publicly known cases, nor the reputations of some better-known detectives from my world. From what was said of you and identified with similar messages made previously, you worked internationally consulting for various law enforcement agencies, which would have put us working within similar circles - yet I've never heard of you, and I'd imagine that you've never heard of myself.
I would also guess that you've had no prior knowledge of cases such as the twenty-year and continuing run of Kaitou Kid, the Tanabata attack on Tokyo tower, and others that relate to things specific to my world, correct?
Ah well, this is the fun of the game. He's surprised that the previous him let so much out about himself, unless all this was found out by Light or Mello. ...Or Misa.]]
You're wrong in only one aspect: Assuming I've never heard of (http://badfic-manor.livejournal.com/459258.html?thread=15924218#t15924218) "Kaitou Kid", the international jewel thief. But you are right, I'm not from your world.
I'd guess likely either Kudo or Conan on that? [It's an idle thought; Hattori seems to've fallen into lost time and didn't seem like he'd be very fond of being approached roundabout from hiding, Aoko wouldn't be responding to something aimed at law enforcement, Tom and Apollo wouldn't have a reason to have brought it up unless Kid was actively doing something.] It is a bit of a digression - not that testing out unknown parties isn't useful, I imagine.
I can understand your need to test. This Conan wouldn't happen to be a young man would he?
Yes - he's started on this line of work about as young as I did.
