[Mello is neither impressed or excited about a Hawaii beach vacation. He had been living in LA as it was, what was Hawaii but LA beaches with hotter weather and more idiots to cause problems. Tourists. He didn't need them. Nor did he desire anything to do with swim trunks or sun block. All foolishness and vanity when there were bigger fish to fry and better things to accomplish than a full body tan.

But

He has ventured outside for one reason and one reason alone: Near has NOT gone outside.

How does he know this? Did he ask? No. Why the fucking hell would he bother to ask? Just LOOK at the kid, he probably doesn't know that the sun exists outside of fancy screensavers. There is no way that he could have ever gone into the sunlight because if he had he might actually have some hint of a skin tone.

Anyway.

Mello now stands on the beach in a getup entirely inappropriate for such a location -



-but fuck it, he's still gotten farther than you Near.

And he smirks to himself behind his gas mask. A small victory has been won today]

[Dende slowly uncovers his mouth, but seems very nervous about the topic. When he speaks again it is in a hushed tone]

F-Frieza... H-he's an alien... he attacked my planet and slaughtered all of my people....b-but Mr. Light t-told me i-if I s-say his name too much... the Author might bring him here....

...Kid....hate to tell ya this...but if Frieza is a white and purple thing with the voice of a senior citizen...then he's already here.

[Dende lets out a frightened whimper and his eyes well up]

[And then there's a sobs as he seems to fall over on his rear]

D-DON'T LET HIM K-KILL ME AGAIN! PLEASE MR. MELLO!

[Mello's never dealt with crying children. At least not outside of Wammy's and its not like he ever learned what to do a about them then. In fact he had more likely been the cause for the tears, what with throwing soccer balls and tugging hair and all.

But a monster terrorizing the world....killing as they see fit..... strikes a bit of a cord, even if it has been years since Mello's recognized his own mortality.

After a moment he sighs, rolling his eyes]

Stop crying, Kid. I'm not gunna let this "Freezer" kill you. [Not sure how much he can do against an alien overlord, but you never know.]

Pretty sure I don't fight the same way they did.

[Frontal attacks. "Honorable" fighting - more like "dumb" fighting. "Here, make me your next target." No. Attacks from behind, above, and beneath are the best, the way to win.

....P-please be careful Mr. Mello! Frieza says he is the most powerful being in the universe! A-and I've seen many strong people fight him... but not succeeded! I-I d-d-don't want to see any more o-of my friends get hurt!
