Hi guys,

Has anyone else noticed how there are no phones in this place? I mean there's these blackberrys but I can't get an outward line...

Seems kinda weird that a place this expensive lookin' with all this stuff ain't got no phones...

Anyway, I'm jus' gonna get somethin' to eat if anyone wants to join me?

Hello, Mr. Emmett. No, I do not. Not officially. But as the real staff hasn't yet arrived, I have taken it upon myself to serve as butler until our present situation changes. It seemed more productive than sitting idle when there was work to be done.

[He smiles a bit wider. He sounds very proper and British to go along with his flawless 19th century butler's uniform. Clearly ready to serve.]

Oooh, well thank you very much! That's real nice of you.

Are you from England? I love your accent!

You're very welcome. Is there anything specific you would like for a meal? There are a variety of ingredients I can cook with in the kitchen.

[He nods.] I am British, yes.

...hmm... I dunno... I guess I quite fancy some mashed potatoes an' maybe... chicken?

Oh an' vanilla puddin'!

I love you're accent, it's so sexy.

I'll get right to work on that. It should be ready shortly.

[Not you too. He's been getting enough of that sort of vibe from the green-haired one. He smiles widely.] That is most kind of you to say, sir.

(he grins)

a few moments later he'll hear a call from the dining room that Kio is there too so could he please make a little more?)

You are by no means obligated, sir, but I thank you for the offer.

[He leaves and begins preparations in the kitchen. He hears Emmett's call and tries not to scowl. Both of them together might prove to be worse than the peaceful idiot combo back in the young master's townhouse. But! He'll put on his most professional smile before he returns to serve both of them.]

Oh good, I hate eatin' by myself... especially seein' as this room is pretty darn big!

Yeah, I saw that. The dining room looks like it could fit twenty people...more maybe. I wonder if they're expecting more people.

[As Kio's talking into the blackberry, Emmett might hear his footsteps in the entry hall outside as he comes down the stairs. He waves as he gets to a place where he can see Emmett through the door.

He comes down into the dining room, chupa chup in his mouth, paint stains on his fingers, grin on his face.]

(Emmett waves him over, returning the grin)

Hey hunny! Come sit down.

[Kio comes and sits down near Emmett staring down the length of the table for a second and then looking all around the room]

This room is even bigger than I thought it was! So, what are we eating?

erm... not sure yet...

... this butler guy went to sort somethin' out. He was pretty dishy!

[Speak of the butler, here he is! Smiling brightly as he brings out what Emmett ordered -- chicken and mashed potatoes, and he got fancy and decided to add some sauteed mushrooms and tomatoes. He puts a plate down in front of Emmett and another in front of Kio.]

I hope this will suffice. I shall serve the pudding after dinner has been consumed. May I interest you in a bottle of wine to complement your meal?

Oh wow, this looks gorgeous!

Hey, maybe I could show you my recipe for stuffed marrow at some point? It's both vegetarian, low in calories, and delicious.

[Before Sebastian comes in Kio nods excitedly]

He iiiis, isn't he? But I don't think he's interested, I tried.

[Kio looks starving]

Are you a vegetarian, Emm-chan?

Oh no, I'm not a vegeterian, I jus' really like my veggies! An' I have my own party plannin' an' caterin' business at home so I've got a lot of recipes stored away in my brain box.

An' I figured I'd best start watchin' my figure with so many fine lookin' fellas stayin' in this place with me.

[He ducks out as they're talking and returns with a bottle of chardonnay that he knows will complement the chicken dish well. He lays out two wine glasses and works to unscrew the cork.]

To answer your question, Mr. Emmett, I have never prepared any vegetarian dishes, but I would be happy to incorporate the recipe into the schedule for nightly meals if you would like to show me.

Yeah, 'course!

I know loads of fabulous recipes.

You ever tried wrappin' a chicken breast in bacon an' stuffin' it with brie? Stunnin'.

I have noticed that... the fact that there aren't any phones doesn't exactly give me a warm and fuzzy feeling.
