Pilgrimage 003 ◘ Tali'Zorah ◘ Mama Quarian [ Accidental Video / In person]
[Since finding a baby Quarian in her room, Tali was at first apprehensive to do anything but leave it alone. She had helped with one or two children in her time aboard the Flotilla, but she'd never had one directly in her care. The video feed comes on to show her in the kitchen, with the infant laying quite happily on the table in front of her, although the childs face is hidden by Tali standing in the way. She's busy fitting it with a tiny enviro-suit and mask the Author was kind enough to leave with it. Then again, it would have been pointless to give her a child to take care of but then have it die within a day or so]
Alright little one - that should do it..
[Picking it up gently, it makes a happy, content giggling noise as she nuzzles her helmet against the childs]
Now we'll see how bad those microbes are...~

B-buen giornno... i-is that your baby?

[Shifting the baby a little more comfortably]
What is your name?

[He looks at the baby, watching very curiously]
I've never seen an alien baby before.... Well I did... but he wasn't a good alien.

Tali
Well whatever, either way she steps back and picks up the blanket from the table, before sitting down on the kitchen floor carefully. Setting the baby down gently on the blanket, she motions for Dera to come closer]
I'm sure this one wouldn't mind if you came and said hello. Would you, little one? Hmm~?
[As she speaks to the baby, she offers a finger for her to grab onto - moar happy noises ahoy!]

Do you think he'll like my space ship?
[He holds it up to Tali]
Well... it's not really a space ship, but I'm pretending!

She's a little girl but, I'm sure she'd love it

So, how old are you, Hayato?
no subject
[He smiles and looks at the toy... though there was something odd about it]
It looks a lot more banged up then I remember though....
no subject
Four? Wow, you look very big for your age. Maybe one day you'll be taller than me
[As the little girl starts to whimper at the grand lack of attention, Tali scoops her up and pushes herself back so that she's leaning against the counter]
So, where are you from? Somewhere exciting I bet
no subject
Yeah! I'm going to be SUPER TALL when I grow up!
[he reaches forward to play with the little babies hands, making odd little sound effects as he does so]
I'm from Sicily! It's right next to Italy! And you can always find Italy on a map because it looks like a boot!

[She's never heard of it, but humours him for now]
That sounds like a really nice place; I need to see more of Earth. You know, if you like spaceships, I could show you some pictures of the ship I work on. Would you like that?
no subject
If his face could sparkle any more you could call him Edward Cullen]A-a real space ship?! Y-you work in a real space ship?!
no subject
Yes, I do - a really big spaceship.['Really big' indicated with extra emphasis in the voice and her holding her arms out] I'm one of the people who does repairs when things go wrong
no subject
I wanna see the space ship! I wanna see the space ship!
no subject
Well then, we should go see it then, shouldn't we?

[She holds the door open for Chibi!Dera to come in, before setting the baby down in the crib across the room.
As for the room itself, Dera will be able to see a long table, littered with pieces of metal and wires, tools and other odd bits and pieces. On one wall, there's a large computer screen, and underneath that, a large metal cabinet. Other than that, there's a bed and general bedroomy stuff]

and his head explodes]Woah....
[The small child wanders over to the table and peeks over to look at all the trinkets and tools]
