001 - Naomi Misora - [Accidental Audio]
Cannot believe this.
[The woman's voice is harsh. Who ever this is, she clearly sounds annoyed not to mention exasperated. It has been a long day.]
What?
[There's a scraping noise as the recording device gets lifted from the bed. Naomi has finally discovered the blackberry and is now examining it. So, this really had been a kidnapping attempt after all, and she's not alone. As Misora scrolls through the contact list, she suddenly realizes that she's being recorded.
There's a loud THUD as she drops the device on the ground as though it had been coated with a layer of acid.
Naomi scowls at it, feeling absurd as if someone had just pulled a juvenile prank on her. None of this made any sense. Why would someone abduct her and leave her alone in a room, unrestrained and still armed? Why would they even take the time to decorate that room in the likeness of the one she had back home? A stalker or voyeur of some sort? She had to choke back some vomit at the thought. More importantly, why this device? It had come preloaded with numbers, possibly other victims'. Perhaps it belonged to the kidnappers themselves. Regardless, clearly who ever sent her here had intended for her to use it to contact those others (it's unlikely that kidnappers so detail-oriented about making this room look exactly like her own would be careless enough to mistakenly leave a phone in plain sight), but that made all the less sense.
How irritating it is to play into someone else's hands, but what else is there to do? Naomi picks the device back up and clears her throat.]
Hello. Is anyone getting this?
[She deliberates for a moment but finally decides to say no more. She already feels silly enough as it is.]

Re: [in person]
Also, Misora doesn't buy any of that. She thinks you're on drugs or something.]
Uh ... huh ... and, how did you come to that conclusion?
[-1 point for honesty, rude kid.]
Also, are you sure it wasn't just someone who looked and sounded like me?
Re: [in person]
[The teen takes out his blackberry and scroll through some of his old messages until he finds the one from when they were sick. He pauses it so that it's right on her face and hands the blackberry to her]
Not unless you got a twin.
Re: [in person]
[She takes the device and plays it, absolutely flabbergasted at what she's seeing. It's her alright. However, this just doesn't make any logical sense.
Naomi turns off the blackberry and hands it back. She's had enough of it. Knowing that something this strange is happening makes her uncomfortable, and seeing it makes her feel no better.]
Okay .. so. Let me get this straight. Some 14 year old has supernatural powers. She's able to teleport anyone from any time period across any dimension to this building? On top of that, those who leave may or may not retain their memories?
[Yes, Naomi realizes that she is just repeating the same thing the kid had just said, but it was meant to be more as self-reassurance than an actual set of questions. Somehow, she figures hearing it from her own lips would make everything make sense. It didn't.]
Re: [in person]
[He takes the blackberry and stuffs it back in his pocket before swinging his arm over the back of the chair casually.]
Re: [in person]
Fine, if this isn't all a hallucination of some sort, I can buy that perhaps separate realities exist.
[Not really, but she's trying here.]
What about this author? How do we know she exists? Or that she's a girl at all? Have you seen her before?
[If so, Misora would love to have a word or two have a word with this person.]
Re: [in person]
It's just what I was told. I don't know how anyone found out. No one can see her though. She just kind of runs the place. I think I've heard people talkin' about ways to make contact with the bitch, but I haven't paid much attention to it.
