[The feed comes on to Mukuro sitting idly at the kitchen table, enjoying a small cup of coffee. He's looking a bit thinner to those that knew him before... two years in a pickle jar will do that. Per usual he's masking his irritation of being back in this place quite well. It figures that he would be freed from one prison only to be transported to another... and of course there was the condition in which he left things. He needed to do some damage control.]

Hello, please pardon my interruption but it seems I have been... allowed to return to my world for a number of years. As I recall time here passes differently and I would very much like to know how long I have been missing.

Also regarding my behavior upon my last stay here. I would like to sincerely [pffft... sincerely.] apologize for my actions both as a child and the incident that happened the following week. I suppose you could say... that I wasn't in my right mind. Thank you for your time.

[Lenalee deliberates whether or not she should respond for a minute, feeling a pang of shame at the very thought of contacting him. But it has to be done, if they are going to be trapped here together, and sooner is better than later. She already got to put it off long enough with him gone at home.]

I'm sorry, I don't know how long you were gone. And, also-- I wanted to apologize for my behavior then as well.

[She winces, hating to think about the monster she had become and the things she did during that time. An apology does not seem sufficient, even if he had been the one on a murderous rampage at the time. Lenalee still remembers what an innocent and broken child he was.]

Oh, it's perfectly fine my dear, were it not for you I probably would have done quite a bit more damage. In all honesty I'm sorry you had to see me like that. It's a rather... repulsive state if I do say so myself. Also I'm sure my deranged state as a child wasn't exactly a pleasant encounter.

[His instant acceptance of her apology makes the whole resolution feel alarmingly easy. Lenalee isn't quite sure how to react-- of course she is glad, but, after the things that they had both done... an apology does not feel sufficient.]

[Scowling a little. And oh how Lenalee does blame the Author for the unnecessary hardships everyone trapped here have been forced to go through. All in the name of entertainment.]

As near as I can tell, you can't have been gone for longer than a day or two.

As for the ah ... incidents, I'm not prone to holding things against people that stem more from the interference of the Manor's whims than anything.

You are too kind, my friend. Still, I must thank you for watching over me as a child. It was quite a dangerous move, I had little control over my powers at that point and was... unstable to say the least. I apologize for not explaining the situation to you in full during that... convention, though I'm sure you can understand why.

You were a child - I wasn't about to leave you alone like that, particularly not with what had been explained and what I'd managed to piece together. [And he's ... getting a little used to dealing with unstable people.] As for explanations, as much I prefer to not be kept in the dark, I don't expect people to share all their uncomfortable life stories at the drop of a hat.

You probably have some questions as to the powers I displayed. While I typically do not like broadcasting these abilities, if you have questions I would be more than willing to answer.

I suppose starting with what understanding I have would be the best plan - you've described it as somewhat ephemeral; what you alter behaves as "real" so long as you have the ability to maintain it, and I'm guessing some of the times you've augmented your own physical ability or worked around injuries was using something like what you used for Nakamori-san...

The two things that seem to stick out was being able to hold the "Killer" disabled the night we met, and managing to send some kind of message mentally to my other self.

[He frowns distastefully at that memory.] I do apologize for myself that week.

Very astute my friend, but believe it or not I am not the one doing the altering. The human mind is an amazing thing, if the mind believes something is happening to it, then the body will react accordingly. What I do is simply a very powerful form of hypnosis.

[Not... entirely a lie. Though his illusions have long since gone past that level. His abilities had grown to the point of being able to physically alter reality. But Saguru didn't need to know the full extent of his power. As it was he only knew the tip of the iceberg. Just as long as he didn't ask about the form he took while he went on his rampage...]

Naturally, with the ability to fool someone's mind, it's not too much of a stretch to assume he can communicate telepathically. And please, if there is anyone who needs to apologize, it's me. I'm the one who went running rampant through the halls.
