Sabaku no Temari | 06 | [In Person] *Totally imagine the icon is grown up, lol*
[While everyone else was seeming to enjoy the new scenery, Temari...was not. She hadn't been anywhere near to this much water before and the cooler temperature simply wasn't agreeing with her. She'd toyed with the idea of calling Gokudera, perhaps he had something that would help her...but no. She'd be fine, she just had to get used to this.
As the ship rocked, she groaned softly as her body protested. Oh, for mercy's sake. Walking along the wall she made her way into one of the smoking rooms. She hated the smell, but it was warmer than her room.
Taking a seat in the corner, she laid her head on the table. She felt sick, she felt dizzy, and above all else...she felt cold.]

[Okay, so she momentarily forgot that she never told him. Either way, how could anyone not feel as sick as she did on this thing.]
I'll enjoy my fresh air when I'm back on solid ground. Until then, I'm staying as far from that deck as I can.
...should have known something was going to happen...
no subject
[He rips off a small piece of his sleeve]
Well, lets at least get you outta here, this is probably the worst place to be if you feel sick. Where's your room? You can lay down and I'll crack a window.
[He stands and offers her his hand, suddenly looking a wee bit worried]
A desert? That... probably means you can't swim can you?
no subject
Right handed, why? [This was hardly the time to play twenty questions.]
[Rubbing her face, she had to agree that perhaps all the smoke wasn't helping...she actually felt a little worse than she did previously.
Taking his hand, she let him help pull her up. ...She hated the look on his face though.] 107.
and no. I've never had to learn how.
...We're on this hell beast, why would you need to know if I can swim?
no subject
[He starts walking her down the halls to her room]
Uh... well this "hell beast" is going to sink... really badly...
no subject
Leaning against Gokudera as they walk, she stops suddenly in the middle of the hall, a look of surprise crossing her face.]
Sink? As in we're all going to drown? ...How do you even know this? Last I checked, you weren't a time traveler, you could just be mistaken.
no subject
[He cringes a bit at the accusation that they're all going to drown.]
Well, they let woman and children on the lifeboats first, and I know the ship doesn't sink until night... so as soon as it starts goin' down I can grab you and try to get you on one before the panic set in.
no subject
[His words only served to worry her more. If it came down to her saving herself and watching someone drown, she simply couldn't do that.]
...You say that like some people don't get on boats...
no subject
[He comes to her room and opens the door, easing her down on the bed, and taking a seat next to her.]
and I know that the lifeboats weren't all filled... and not all of them even got off the ship...
[He reaches into his pocket and pulls out what appears to be a little tart candy]
Eat this. It'll keep your mouth from getting all gross.
[and now he is going to open that window.]
no subject
A thousand people...if it had been less, she may have been able to think of something to save everyone...but a thousand? Even if she was able to construct something to float, there was no way it would hold even half that many.]
At least we'll be on one, and maybe, if they weren't all filled we could get more people on them. More real people. The staff can drown for all I care.
[And Mukuro. She wasn't concerned with saving him either.
Taking the candy thing, she very trustingly ate it. She already felt gross, it could only help at this point.
Laying back on the bed, she watched him open the window, the sounds of the ocean pouring in once the window was opened.]
We don't need to keep that open long, do we?
no subject
The people on this thing now aren't real. This happened almost a hundred years ago. Even the people who survived this, are all dead now.
[He shakes his head]
No, I'm just worried about you and Ryuutaro. Everyone else can watch their own asses.
[He leans against the windowsill taking in the ocean air.]
Fresh air is the best thing for you... if it makes you feel any better, pretend you're on an island. Sicily was sort of like this, just a lot warmer.
no subject
[Glancing up, she gives him as chastising a look as she's able to.]
Gokudera. You may not worry for them, but I do. If I'm able to save someone, I'm going to.
...Would you really sit there and watch someone drown when you could have saved them?
[Rolling onto her stomach, she looked back up at him. Islands? Really. Oh hell, the next plot had better have nothing to do with water.]
After this, I don't think I'm going to be going to any islands. I'm sick of water.
no subject
[He knew it was a selfish thing to say, but after living four years he learned the hard way that people generally didn't give a shit what happened to anyone but themselves.]
It's not like anything we do here is going to make a difference anyway, what's the point?
[He let out a sigh and shook his head.]
Well... if you want, I could teach you how to swim.
no subject
[Like it or not, she was trained for this. Generally it came with getting paid, but she wouldn't be able to live with herself if an innocent died when she could have done something.]
What are you going to do? Throw me into the ocean and pray I float?
[Not that she'd sink...for a while anyway. As long as she could control her Chakra, there was no reason she couldn't just walk back up the ship and kick his ass for such a callous action.]
I don't think so. I'm not going to need it after this plot anyway.
no subject
[He looked out the window over the ocean, he'd light a cigarette but he didn't want to make Temari sick.]
I'll get in into one of the lifeboats. Since we know what's goin' on, we can prepare before this place goes crazy.
[He glances over to her and raises an eyebrow]
You really want to bet on that?
no subject
I mean the manor residents.
[With the exception of those she hates. If they got close enough, she may just hold certain individuals under until they stopped twitching.]
If we wanted to prepare, I could probably steal some food from the kitchen. I doubt the staff would care since they're all fake anyway.
[Chuckling, she pulled a pillow over to rest her head on.]
Yeah, I kinda would. If she's putting us through water this week, it'd be kind of monotonous to do water again.
no subject
[He runs a hand through his hair, he knew a lot of the residents could fend for themselves. He wasn't worried. It's not like it mattered if they died anyway. They would just be back in a few days.]
I think we should be alright, there's going to be another ship not too far off. Hopefully they'll take us up. All I know is that they didn't actually help the ship.
[People were all the same regardless of time period it seemed. What the fuck ever, not his problem.]
And how long do you think until she throws us in the water again?
no subject
[Aha, she still didn't know about the death thing. May be a good thing too, if she knew about it she would have probably fought Mukuro until she was unable to move anymore.]
If we can manage to get the life boat we should be fine then. If not...there's always other ways.
[She hadn't tried said ways, but like hell she'd let Dera die if she could help it. Snorting into the pillow, she just shrugged.]
As long as there's something like land or a boat, I'll be fine.
no subject
[There were a lot of people talking about it after all.]
Well funny thing, if I don't make it to a lifeboat initially I can swim to one.
[Hint. Hint.]
There's a pool down on one of the lower decks y'know.
no subject
[At his comment, she visibly bristled at the jab. Mustering a slight glare, she mumbles incoherently into the pillow.]
And there's a bed up here and lifeboats on the ship. Your point?
[Don't make her troll you, Dera. She'll do it.]
no subject
[Which Hayato was now almost grateful he left... Ryohei and swimming... never really got along..]
There might not be next time. That's my point. Come on, let me at least show you the basics. Drownin' is a nasty way to go.
[Go ahead, it's pretty much the story of his life.]
*drools* Dat Icon...
Staring at him for a moment, she forced herself up. Perhaps the water would help her anyway, just imagine it was a big hot springs.
She knew that she didn't want to drown, a day of learning to swim would be a decent exchange.]
Alright then. Lead the way to this fabulous pool.
[She'll be a brat the whole time, enjoy it 'Dera~.]
IKR?! so much love on this boy's face.
You got a baithin' suit, or are you just gunna jump in with your clothes?
no subject
[...Oh man, she could have some fun with this. Grinning, she sent a teasing look up at him.]
Are you going to watch me change~?
no subject
W-what?! Fuck! No! I-I'll go get mine on...
[And he turns to leave... but oh... one more thing.]
You can keep the sweatshirt.
[She needed it more then he did... and it would be something she could wear over her bathing suit... because he knew there was no way he could handle walking all the way down to the pool with a half naked girl next to him...]
no subject
I'm kidding~. Meet me back here, you'll probably be done before me.
[Fingering the end of the sweatshirt, she just gave him a grin in response. Under that crunchy exterior, he really was a sweetheart.
Closing the door behind him, she started about the long process of figuring out the two piece swimsuit. After a bit, she was soon suited...Oh yes. She'd definitely have fun with this.
Slipping the sweater back over her head as a cold breeze came in through the window, she made her way to stand just outside her door, waiting for her...escort of sorts.]
