Hello. I am Agent Sasha Nein. I am assuming I have been kidnapped, and that you know what is going on. |

[At least this ‘Sasha’ isn’t flipping out or cursing over all of this. He also knows that other people have information, and is perhaps, hoping someone will offer him some.]

I have already explored the building to the best of my abilities, but considering how vast it is, I know I did not see any of the occupants here, even though there is proof such as the names on the door that there are others here. My fellow Kidnapped, then? |

What would you say the main rules of survival are here?

[There's a slightly off-kilter laugh. Terrorists, no, but if a government agency were to be minding that kind of thing, a strong Mist or Sky user would certainly be the department of someone whose business was "psychics".]

It's probably better that way; less worry for either of us about sensitive information reaching the wrong hands back home. I'd like to think we wouldn't register as "terrorists" outside of some Famiglia who don't like having someone keeping an eye on them, but we've had a checkered past enough that I'd half expect us to've shown up on radar if we were from the same world.

[Not like the Mafia hitman is adjusted to "neutral ground" enough to not be on-guard talking to a government agent or anything...]

Just like I would have expected you to hear about the Psychonauts if they were in your world. [Sasha has learned sometimes, in his world, you find your safety in absurdity. After all, a government training camp for kids to be future psychic soldiers that has a pamphlet.]

Perhaps we could find similarities in each others worlds though.

Mmm - [He has a thoughtful pause.] I think the biggest is just treating others with respect and minding that we're all basically trapped in the same small boat. Most of the "large predators" we have among the population here are the sort that - have a predator's social standards; they don't go out of their way to look for trouble, and if you're treating them with respect and avoiding registering as a threat, they're at least not that dangerous, if not overly friendly. Still, don't assume everyone's "safe"; as much as we try to help, we can't control who the Author brings here, and we do get occasional ones that're more off-kilter.

That, and the faster you adapt to situations suddenly going slightly crazy, the better - Sometime around midnight between Sunday and Monday is usually when things change, and it's good to be careful until you get a sign of what the current "plot" is - assuming it's not obvious like waking up in a zombie-infested city. Three weeks is the absolute longest I've seen things like that last, although "just waiting it out" isn't always an option.

I admit, where I'm from, most of the people with some kind of powers - tend to stay more in the underground, although one of our founders was an intelligence agent for his home country, himself. [Although Alaude was kind of a special case and a law unto himself. ~~And considering some of the weird freak occurrences that tend to happen around the Vongola-~~] Depending on what's defined as a "Psychic Terrorist", maybe our groups would've at least been chasing common enemies; who knows.

Someone who uses mental abilities in ways to cause chaos, trouble, fear, and other such things. In short, for very bad things with their brains.

In that case, even if we're not batting for the same team, we'd have the same goals. [Well, at least partly - but the core Family and Guardians tended to be the ones focusing on that kind of thing anyway, and Reborn himself used to do that duty, too.] I hope you don't mind hearing that from Mafia.

The Mafia has its resources, and as I said, my group doesn't deal with them unless my previously stated condition. And in this situation, we're on the side side anyways.

[That would be the important part, anyway; he nods.] Our Family started for the purpose of protecting people where the normal laws wouldn't reach, so - if we had been from the same world and you'd ever fought a Vongola, we would've been after them anyway as a rogue. True, although usually they tie you up. Here we don't, so there are differences.

This isn't a usual kind of kidnapping, but I suppose you could word it like that.

When I explored the building, I had noticed that the layouts don't work together floor to floor. Am I missing areas?

No, you're not. The architecture is a bit on the non-Euclidian side, and it's not that rare for the place to not behave normally; damage to the building itself will usually "heal" gradually, and the original generator was apparently made up of something run by gerbils on treadmills. It had to be replaced when the squirrels in the attic ate the gerbils. [You know the sort of deadpan voice where someone is being dead serious, and is somehow used to it, but halfway through realizes just how silly they must sound to most people and are trying not to think about it?]

There is no clue as of how the Author got her power and she does usually not talk to us directly, instead she contacts us through a speaking bunny. I am aware of how insane that sounds.

We assume her to be a teenage girl, judging by her tastes and the mentioning of 'learning for tests' in a message.
She can influence this world completely as well as our bodies and sometimes mind. We've already been body-switched and altered, forced to fall in love for a while or just transferred to other worlds, such as an island full of dinosaurs or a spaceship.

As for the residents, most seem to be from slightly varying alternates of planet earth, even though some come from other planets or dimensions that lack much similarity to earth.

You know, hiding out your name makes you more suspicious then just being honest.
