16th illusion ||Rokudo Mukuro|| [accidental video/in person]
[The feed comes on to Mukuro's room which is extremely dark, only a few rays of light make it through the shades on the window. There's the sound of a scuffle and Mukuro seems FAR from pleased about what's going on, even uncharacteristically raising his voice in rage as he appears to be fighting someone off him. Suddenly there's a small purple flame engulfing his right eye illuminating part of his face with it's unnatural glow. In mere moments after there's a sickening squelching noise followed by a snap and Mukuro's opponent falls to the floor. Mukuro steps onto the figures chest and squats down]
Kufufu, well, well, well. Here's a face I never thought I would have the pleasure of seeing again.
[The body he's perched on squirms and tries to let out a scream- that Mukuro has done something to muffle]
shhhhhh, come now? Isn' t it "an honor to die as part of the development"? That's what you told us. I suppose I am all that's left of the 'development' though... at least here. Isn't that a shame? I suppose we should make you part of the development now...
[And Mukuro reaches down]
After all, I'm sure you're familiar with the saying... an eye for an eye....
[And the feed cuts off just as the unknown person lets out a blood curdling scream. To those who arrive on the scene they will find Mukuro casually walking out of his room in his pajamas which are slathered in blood. He's got a little bloody mass in his right hand and half of his trident's staff in the other . There are a few cuts around his right eye as well. In his room lies the body of this man with half of Mukuro's trident lodged in his torso, and a lacking his right eye. ]
((OOC: This is a VERY bad time to taunt him if you value you mind/eyes/life. 8Db))

[Well, then there was a mix of being honestly worried for the illusionist, and realizing that once again, he was dealing with someone he was on decent terms with of some form being a live grenade.]
[Being on the same hallway, it didn't really take long for him to be out in the hall.]
Mukuro! Are you alright? [In more than one sense of the word, as rhetorical as it was...]
no subject
But of course Hakuba Saguru, why would I not be?
no subject
[Wouldn't be the first time he's done something like this.]
Dealing with them again - particularly after last week - I hope you don't mind my worrying for you.
no subject
Feel free to worry all you like! But I can assure you it's a wasted effort!
no subject
Really? I'd certainly take you over those any day, and I'd still say that if I'd been there I would've wanted to kill them myself. [Even with all of his usual ethics...] And it's not like you're not someone potentially valuable to my continued survival, either, whatever you might think of having a sense of empathy. [Pragmatic enough terms for "Either way, you're not getting rid of me that easily."]
no subject
[He cocks his head to the side in an almost curious gesture, but it's still just for show. He's not curious about anything. He's quite confident in his knowledge of the world, but even in this little break of psychosis the habit of playing the polite little games was a difficult one to break.
The broken half of his trident abruptly is dissipated in a wave of mist.]
Would you have? Well luckily for you I have already long since stained my hands with the deed. Your little sentiment is lost on me Hakuba Saguru.
no subject
[So, as much as he's trying to mind holding some ground ... he still allows himself to relax at the trident disappearing; all he really needs is "not complete prey", and really, the less there's any sense of challenge right now, the better.]
Fortunately I've never been bothered if "sentiment" was lost on others; story of my life, really. [Who said you couldn't be a Romantic and a pragmatist at the same time?] ...You know, he'll probably be back.
[Not... actually here...]
There are a few people on Earth Tsuna would actually actively want to hurt with his own two hands... and the people that were serving as Mukuro's ghosts were number one on that list. It makes Tsuna sick, makes him angry, that they're here again- even if Mukuro seems to have them handled...
Tsuna's swallowing and putting his Blackberry away. He wants to help, but he's not sure that offering won't make it worse.]
You scared your loli
[Yeah, she knew that Mukuro was a cold blooded killer out to destroy the mafia, but she had never viewed him in that light. She had always thought of him as the kind person that did even what her own mother didn't want to do.]
[Now here she was, frozen on the spot, shaking and at a loss for words.]
LOL bit belated there loli. Now snug your psycho better...
Chrome...
loli doesn't know how to react to this...
Y-You....you just...
[Good job buddy, you frightened your loli.]
lol be careful loli, DEPENDING ON YOUR REACTIONS HE MAY SNAP MORE. (no pressure)
[And judging by the surgical quality slice under his right eye, you can probably guess which part. Luckily he woke up quick enough before the eye was damaged, that would have been horrible for everyone...]
...is something wrong my dear Chrome?
SO BE CUTE AND ADORABLE RIGHT?
[She notices the cut as well as the fact that he's pretty much covered in blood.]
Y-You're hurt.
PRETTY MUCH. Your face makes him happy Chrome... because it's like his face...
[And he finally takes a moment to look himself over. Ah he was a mess. How vile. Mukuro let out a sigh]
My my, look at that I'm quite a mess aren't I?
[And is a blink of an eye he's in his regular clothes, which are clean, though he is still rather bloody. He'll change normally when he's calmed down a bit more. He's well aware that he would be far too tempted to crush the skull of the man in the other room...and his beloved Chrome doesn't need to see that.]
But loli-er?
[Normally, Chrome wouldn't be one to do this, especially after seeing the person she's hugging kill a man, but it's Mukuro and she can at least try to make him feel better.]
FORGIVE LATEST RESPONSE EVER ;A;
[Not true. Such close proximity is... trying at best, and given his current mood could mean dangerous outcomes. But this is Chrome, so all in all it was simply touching another him. The only way another body could escape this situation alive. It was an assurance of his power... of his influence. Yes... he still had that... his goals would be realized. This cage will only hold him for so long...]
IT'S OKAY DUBSY-WUBSY-POO
[This is called comforting someone Mukubutt.]
Mikami's facial expression hardens even beyond the usual level]
Vigilantism isn't the right way.
Re: [Video]
Vigilantism? Oh my good man you are horribly mistaken... that man was already dead many years ago... I was just fixing him to keep that statement accurate~
[Video]
That is not fixing, it is murder no matter how you look at it. Taking punishment into your own hands is never a good idea.
[Kind of disgusted with you now, Mukuro, okay?]
Re: [Video]
[Why was this man questioning him? He remembered this one as a 'good man' and he was educated- smart, surly he could understand why these men had to die. It did not make sense WHY he wouldn't understand!]
You should have seen what they did to the other children! By the time I stopped them there were only three of us left... They made us into weapons, why shouldn't they reap what they sewed?
[Mukuro's movements become more jerky, his eyes almost seem to glaze over, and he clutches his head. No. He cannot lose control. They cannot win. He will not break his demeanor for this. He will not let the author and her sick little mind games win.
Slowly he stumbles out of his room and closes the door behind him. First thing he needed was to get away from it. That familiar scent of blood almost driving him mad. It was the scent of his victory all those years ago- and ever since the smell of blood almost intoxicated him. He laughs dryly as he leans against his door.]
Here I thought a noble man like yourself would understand... but of course you wouldn't. You weren't there.
They deserve death for what they've done, I'm not arguing with that.
[Interestingly enough this was the first time he'd stated his opinion this bluntly in the Manor]
People already lose their right to exist with much more minor things than what these people have done to you and others. It is completely unforgivable.
But by returning their actions with violence of your own, you agreed to leave the right path.
Re: [Video]
[He chuckles and lets himself slide down the door. Slowly calming himself down to something that could be looked at as stable, though he was still very much on edge]
Do you know what would have happened if I hadn't killed them when I did? They would have removed my eye and mass produced it as a weapon. Meanwhile myself and the other two boys would have would have gone back to being lab rats until we perished and a new batch of children took our place. Tell me, my noble friend, how many more of us were to die until justice took action?
But even returning to the subject, Mikami doesn't have an answer. That wasn't his world, it was a world without God and for once Mikami wonders about other worlds and justice. How many people were suffering?]
There is divine punishment for every evil action.
[That's the truth he'd grown up with and held on to after all. But did it apply to other universes?
Only thinking about it gives Mikami the headtache that had never quite left him ever since arriving here]
Re: [Video]
I believe it was Epicurus who said, "Is God is willing to prevent evil but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he nor neither able nor willing? Then why call him god."
[He glared forward at the wall while he spoke, not looking at the blackberry at all until he was finished, then he glanced down at Mikami with his trademark little grin on his face]
I believe in such a situation as mine, it becomes my job, as one who has been blessed to experience the afterlife six times, to become the divine punishment. I was blessed with a gift after all, and have been through all six paths of reincarnation. If there are no gods willing to do the work, then I will.
Somehow this knowledge calms Mikami down, even though this whole conversation is still making him nervous.
Every single word Mukuro had said hit a nerve inside of him, but Mikami pushes it aside like he pushes everything aside. Letting this affect him would be foolish]
I see where your reasoning comes from, but you might understand that I can't just accept your words like this. You're right stating I don't know about your situation, I act and think based on the morals of my world.
It's not righteous to bring death over somebody with your own hands.
Re: [Video]
[He smiles broadly, very much enjoying explaining his mission. His goals. The reason why he is his world's savior-to-be. It calmed him, reminded him of his purpose.]
Will it not be worth it if never again does a child have to endure what I did?
That depends on the price the world has to pay for this to be achieved. Can you really effectively clean your world of evil by using cruel methods? It sounds unlikely.
Re: [Video]
[And with a big broad grin on his face he looks up to the ceiling, his expression almost peaceful as he thought about his first goal.]
My first goal will be the complete and utter termination of the mafia.
A world without organized crime.. what a big step in the right direction that would be.]
That's a good goal.
[And Mikami means it. He's not ever close to trusting Mukuro or his methods, but it would be a really good thing to achieve.]
Re: [Video]
[Finally falling back into his usual, less frazzled mindset he takes the time to look himself over. Ugh.... he was filthy and disgusting. He sighs and in a blink he's in a fresh set of clean clothes. He would go back and change properly later... if he went in now, he couldn't be sure he wouldn't crush that man's head under his boot. He did need to keep up his image after all.
He still needed to wash his hands though, so he starts casually strolling down the halls]
[A God wouldn't fight for himself. A God would protect the world for the world's sake. Mukuro had this air of vengeance all around him and it sent chills down Mikami's spine.]
Re: [Video]
[He glides into the bathroom and turns the faucet on, placing the blackberry down so that he could wash his hands. Once he's finished he glances up at the mirror, then does a double-take. The cut under his eye grabbing his attention. An almost surgical cut in such a nostalgic area. There's a brief moment where the smile fades, and something close to a scowl takes over- but only for a moment. His face goes blank as he gingerly wipes the blood away. This was going to be an unpleasant week to put it politely.]
