16th illusion ||Rokudo Mukuro|| [accidental video/in person]

[The feed comes on to Mukuro's room which is extremely dark, only a few rays of light make it through the shades on the window. There's the sound of a scuffle and Mukuro seems FAR from pleased about what's going on, even uncharacteristically raising his voice in rage as he appears to be fighting someone off him. Suddenly there's a small purple flame engulfing his right eye illuminating part of his face with it's unnatural glow. In mere moments after there's a sickening squelching noise followed by a snap and Mukuro's opponent falls to the floor. Mukuro steps onto the figures chest and squats down]

Kufufu, well, well, well. Here's a face I never thought I would have the pleasure of seeing again.

[The body he's perched on squirms and tries to let out a scream- that Mukuro has done something to muffle]

shhhhhh, come now? Isn' t it "an honor to die as part of the development"? That's what you told us. I suppose I am all that's left of the 'development' though... at least here. Isn't that a shame? I suppose we should make you part of the development now...

[And Mukuro reaches down]

After all, I'm sure you're familiar with the saying... an eye for an eye....

[And the feed cuts off just as the unknown person lets out a blood curdling scream. To those who arrive on the scene they will find Mukuro casually walking out of his room in his pajamas which are slathered in blood. He's got a little bloody mass in his right hand and half of his trident's staff in the other . There are a few cuts around his right eye as well. In his room lies the body of this man with half of Mukuro's trident lodged in his torso, and a lacking his right eye. ]

((OOC: This is a VERY bad time to taunt him if you value you mind/eyes/life. 8Db))

[He'd already been reproached by the girl he'd originally gone out looking for in Cardiff for not being fast enough - and if he'd encountered someone dead, then ... with what he knew of Mukuro ...]

[Well, then there was a mix of being honestly worried for the illusionist, and realizing that once again, he was dealing with someone he was on decent terms with of some form being a live grenade.]

[Being on the same hallway, it didn't really take long for him to be out in the hall.]

Mukuro! Are you alright? [In more than one sense of the word, as rhetorical as it was...]

[That sort of thing really should be more disturbing; at this point, between his own lifetime of desensitization, and what he knows of the situation and who that would've had to've been - it's almost more sad and worrisome than anything, even though he knows he's on dangerous ground just being in the hallway like this.]

[Wouldn't be the first time he's done something like this.]

Dealing with them again - particularly after last week - I hope you don't mind my worrying for you.

[Oh the joys of wounded large predator logic. Particularly overly intelligent large predator logic with an ego. On the side of reactions he WASN'T going to show, there was a small internal moment of both finding this depressing, and a small mental facepalm, before he stopped being quite as fussy about killing his normal body language to be as fluffy and nonthreatening as possible; it's not like his normal carriage would be "threatening" under the circumstances anyway.]

Really? I'd certainly take you over those any day, and I'd still say that if I'd been there I would've wanted to kill them myself. [Even with all of his usual ethics...] And it's not like you're not someone potentially valuable to my continued survival, either, whatever you might think of having a sense of empathy. [Pragmatic enough terms for "Either way, you're not getting rid of me that easily."]
stalking_horse: (Time ╫ has come to wash you away)

[The dismissal of the trident may be the sort of signal that could easily be false - but even in this state, Mukuro's clearly still in enough coherent control that doing something completely erratic isn't a worry - Saguru knows he's useful, and that "being useful" is ... much more reliable than anything else, here; any threats would be posturing, and Mukuro's not the sort to do a huge amount of "visible threat" posturing anyway.]

[So, as much as he's trying to mind holding some ground ... he still allows himself to relax at the trident disappearing; all he really needs is "not complete prey", and really, the less there's any sense of challenge right now, the better.]

Fortunately I've never been bothered if "sentiment" was lost on others; story of my life, really. [Who said you couldn't be a Romantic and a pragmatist at the same time?] ...You know, he'll probably be back.

[Not... actually here...]

[Tsuna's a little smarter than to actually respond to this, but he's-- going silent for a moment and clutching his Blackberry a lot tighter than is strictly good for it.

There are a few people on Earth Tsuna would actually actively want to hurt with his own two hands... and the people that were serving as Mukuro's ghosts were number one on that list. It makes Tsuna sick, makes him angry, that they're here again- even if Mukuro seems to have them handled...

Tsuna's swallowing and putting his Blackberry away. He wants to help, but he's not sure that offering won't make it worse.

[Chrome had seen the whole thing. She needed to talk to Mukuro about something, but she was not expecting to see this.]

[Yeah, she knew that Mukuro was a cold blooded killer out to destroy the mafia, but she had never viewed him in that light. She had always thought of him as the kind person that did even what her own mother didn't want to do.]

[Now here she was, frozen on the spot, shaking and at a loss for words.]

loli doesn't know how to react to this...

[identity profile] mist96.livejournal.com 2011-10-11 10:05 pm (UTC)(link)
[Chrome does not know at all how to respond. She just stands there for a few moments before speaking, frozen on the spot.]

Y-You....you just...

[Good job buddy, you frightened your loli.]

SO BE CUTE AND ADORABLE RIGHT?

[identity profile] mist96.livejournal.com 2011-10-12 08:03 pm (UTC)(link)
[Seeing that reaction to the man made Chrome think again about telling Mukuro that she disobeyed his request of not using her powers.]

[She notices the cut as well as the fact that he's pretty much covered in blood.]

Y-You're hurt.

But loli-er?

[identity profile] mist96.livejournal.com 2011-10-13 07:59 pm (UTC)(link)
[She notices that he seems...upset. So she hugs him around the waist, relaying whatever comfort she can give. (If that'll work though is another story >>'') Her cheeks do flush that usual pink. She doesn't say anything; she just hugs.]

[Normally, Chrome wouldn't be one to do this, especially after seeing the person she's hugging kill a man, but it's Mukuro and she can at least try to make him feel better.]

IT'S OKAY DUBSY-WUBSY-POO

[Mikami had seen the small Mukuro. Whoever did this to a child deserved death. But the death penalty is to be executed by law or God. Not an affected person.
Mikami's facial expression hardens even beyond the usual level]

[Right now Mikami has no worry for you Mukuro, even though this blood gets a look]

That is not fixing, it is murder no matter how you look at it. Taking punishment into your own hands is never a good idea.

[Kind of disgusted with you now, Mukuro, okay?]

[Mikami isn't quite sure why he bothers reasoning with this person. Unrighteous is unrighteous, at no point he would start to doubt that. But he remembers the young Mukuro and this short moment of identification with him. It doesn't change a thing though, the only effect it has is that Mikami actually bothers to explain his opinion, the right opinion. Even if there is no going back for Mukuro, he should at least understand.]

They deserve death for what they've done, I'm not arguing with that.

[Interestingly enough this was the first time he'd stated his opinion this bluntly in the Manor]

People already lose their right to exist with much more minor things than what these people have done to you and others. It is completely unforgivable.
But by returning their actions with violence of your own, you agreed to leave the right path.

[Mikami sees where Mukuro is coming from and he dislikes it. He has a hard time imagining the situation though, it's far away from his reality which was already cruel enough. But even the situation of enduring things holding out and almost losing faith is something he can faintly relate to. Mikami pushes the thought aside completely, it was a silly thing to dwell on.

But even returning to the subject, Mikami doesn't have an answer. That wasn't his world, it was a world without God and for once Mikami wonders about other worlds and justice. How many people were suffering?]

There is divine punishment for every evil action.

[That's the truth he'd grown up with and held on to after all. But did it apply to other universes?
Only thinking about it gives Mikami the headtache that had never quite left him ever since arriving here]

[Mikami is a man who believes that God's are decided by the actions they take rather than the power they hold. But Mukuro couldn't be a God, the way he talked to the man earlier was proof enough. A God should not hold a desire to take revenge cruelly.
Somehow this knowledge calms Mikami down, even though this whole conversation is still making him nervous.
Every single word Mukuro had said hit a nerve inside of him, but Mikami pushes it aside like he pushes everything aside. Letting this affect him would be foolish]

I see where your reasoning comes from, but you might understand that I can't just accept your words like this. You're right stating I don't know about your situation, I act and think based on the morals of my world.
It's not righteous to bring death over somebody with your own hands.

[Mikami knows that this is where he should stop talking to Mukuro already, turn off the Blackberry and never look at him ever again. But he still just stays where he is and keeps on talking to Mukuro. Even if it confuses him horribly and makes his head spin. World needed to be in order, chaos was scaring Mikami.]

That depends on the price the world has to pay for this to be achieved. Can you really effectively clean your world of evil by using cruel methods? It sounds unlikely.
inordertobelieve: (I'm actually glad now)

[It's a dangerous power... a very dangerous power Mukuro holds and Mikami is sure that one day he'll abuse it even more horribly than he already has. But the idea that Mukuro could change his world for the better this way is positive and intriguing.
A world without organized crime.. what a big step in the right direction that would be.]

That's a good goal.

[And Mikami means it. He's not ever close to trusting Mukuro or his methods, but it would be a really good thing to achieve.]

This is exactly what prevents me from believing in you. Even if your goal undoubtedly is a most desirable one, your ambitions are too personal.

[A God wouldn't fight for himself. A God would protect the world for the world's sake. Mukuro had this air of vengeance all around him and it sent chills down Mikami's spine.]

[Fran obviously saw that this was not the time to as Mukuro if he could mess with his trident with a platypus, a chunk of cheese, and a toilet, so he just turned around and walked away.]
