[Anyone passing by the kitchen will notice either a sickeningly sweet smell or something that will make their mouths water...it all really depends on how you feel about pie. That's right. Pie. Mary had meant to do this after horror month, but Oktoberfest and being weird little monsters put a stop to that. You couldn't exactly cook when you were a foot tall. Everyone deserved something nice though, especially after the hell that they had all been through.
Walking into the kitchen, the source of the scent is apparent soon enough. There are already a few pies set on the counter of various flavors. It looked like she'd been cooking for a few hours and she likely had. It was all worth it though.
Hearing a soft ding, she grabbed a set of mitts and pulled a fresh apple pie from the hot oven.]
...I can't believe how much I missed this...
[Cooking breakfast was one thing...but there was just something about baking that relaxed her.]

[Typically done with alcohol, but...in Dean's case. Better to be done with pie.
Sorry Dean, you'll never be an adult. You'll forever be mamas really REALLY big boy.
She couldn't stop a wide grin from spreading across her face. Even after all this time, he still thought she made the best pie...that warmed her better than anything else ever would.]
I'm sure there's better pie out there, but I appreciate the compliment all the same. [And have a kiss on the head.]

[...For the most part, he's okay with being her boy. There are times it might be annoying, and even then that's a big might.]
Nu-uh. I've had pie in every state, pretty much, and yours is the best.

[And really Dean, she's not going to roll you down the halls when you get so fat on pie you can't move.
Getting her coffee cup from the counter, she moved to sit across from him.]
[Blushing faintly at his compliments, she couldn't help but find it a hard to believe that with all the complex pies out there, hers were the best. They're just simple pies, nothing fancy...but thank you.

Don't thank me, it's true. [He's already finishing up on that slice.] I could get another piece, though.

...Okay, he may kill her for that. Standing, she moved to the counter to scan the cooled pies. ...Cherry. Definitely cherry. Cutting a slice, she set it in front of him a moment later.] How have you been after the last plot?

It was good to sleep in my own bed again. [Cause really, it was hell having to fun on such small legs. She just bunked down in whatever safe place she could find.]
