Mary Winchester | 13 | [Action]
[Anyone passing by the kitchen will notice either a sickeningly sweet smell or something that will make their mouths water...it all really depends on how you feel about pie. That's right. Pie. Mary had meant to do this after horror month, but Oktoberfest and being weird little monsters put a stop to that. You couldn't exactly cook when you were a foot tall. Everyone deserved something nice though, especially after the hell that they had all been through.
Walking into the kitchen, the source of the scent is apparent soon enough. There are already a few pies set on the counter of various flavors. It looked like she'd been cooking for a few hours and she likely had. It was all worth it though.
Hearing a soft ding, she grabbed a set of mitts and pulled a fresh apple pie from the hot oven.]
...I can't believe how much I missed this...
[Cooking breakfast was one thing...but there was just something about baking that relaxed her.]

Doing housework does kind of settle her nerves, and that includes cooking.]
You wouldn't mind if I started cooking, would you?

[Granted, it was a bit after October, but it was the thought that counted.
Smiling over at the girl, she shook her head in response to her question. Not at all, it would actually be nice to have someone to cook with for once. [Usually she was stuck in here alone or with just someone to talk with. It would be odd, but not unwelcome, to be cooking with someone.]

[That is the sound of a box going thud, and Tris knows exactly who to blame.] Chime! Get out of there or else. [Cue a glass dragon, about the size of a housecat, flying over to Tris with a small bottle of brightly-colored sugar crystals held in her front feet. Tris is just... going to facepalm as Chime lands on her shoulder, and take the bottle with her free hand.]

Even though he loved all attention he could get, sometimes it was just better to be alone.
Still, he needed something to drink right now, so he had to get in there for making tea]
Those look lovely.
[Not that he meant it overly much, but he couldn't just walk in and say nothing, that would've been odd]
no subject
Thank you.
[Setting the pie aside, it's a moment before she has to ask, her worry for the silver haired boy not having subsided since she'd found him in the halls.
Not turning to him, her tone is conversational; completely hiding just how concerned she was about the boys well being.]
...How is Gokudera?
no subject
He's doing better lately.
[Which does not mean good. Neither of them was really doing good, but things were getting back into a normal rhythm slowly]
How do you know him?

Raising a brow, she just stares for a moment before offering a small smile to help relax him.]
Haven't found the shower yet?
[It was a purely joking tone.]

Eeee~ Baby~
How was work dear~?][Setting the pie on the counter, she glanced back with a grin.]
After last month everyone deserves something sweet.
...Pie makes everything better. Wouldn't you agree?
Is that a new icon I see :DD
Oh just splendid - only 3 more orphanages to carpet with asbestos before I get my next raise!]Well that depends entirely on the type of pie, and how well life's going at the present.
As it stands? I'll take it over being turned into some strange animal
Indeed~ She's gotten a few new ones :3

And then... that woman. While the day he woke up after being dead was mostly a hazy blur, he remembered Mary. He remembered being scared. He remembered telling her... about...
Oh god he was going to need a cigarette to deal with this.
which is why he's awkwardly digging through his pockets for his cigarettes, then fumbling with his lighter to light it up.
and oh, sweet, sweet, sweet nicotine...]
no subject
You look like you're feeling better.
[Getting a plate out of the sink, she set it on the table.]
Put your ashes in there. It's bad enough that you're smoking, I don't want your ashes everywhere.
no subject
I'm alive.
[that was about as much as he could say on the matter. He kept pushing himself to try and get back into a normal routine... like the way he was before... but... it was exhausting and he could only keep it up for so long before he would retreat to the safety of Ryuutaro's room to just sleep the rest of the day.
And of course the cigarette thing...]
I ain't goin' to quit.

Charles stretched out his power while he walked. Mary. He hadn't talked to her yet, he doesn't think, too much had gone on, but it felt like she'd been here quite awhile. Friendly.
Satisfied with that, he leans into the kitchen curiously*
Is that peach I smell?
no subject
Glancing back over her shoulder, she smiled softly to the newcomer. She didn't recognize him, but everyone was welcome here.]
It is indeed~.
You can come in, I promise I don't bite.

*he places his books on the table and proceeds to make a pot of coffee, a thoughtful look on his face. She looked familiar, but he couldn't quite place where he'd seen her.*

She pokes into the kitchen eventually to see if this place had any real tea worth making, and smiles in greeting at Mary*
Afternoon.
*and poking about cabinets. She's clearly unfamiliar with where everything is*
no subject
Grinning at the woman, she knew this one was new. She hadn't heard an accent quite like that around here...but she had to say she liked it.]
Good afternoon.
...Can I help you find something?
[If it was in the kitchen, she'd probably know where it was. Heavens knew she spent enough time in here.]
