Sabaku no Temari | 08 | [In Person]
[There's a small blond girl kneeling outside in the snow, her expression as she looked at it screamed that she'd never seen such a thing before in her life. Anyone that knew her elder self would know this was true. Unlike her older self though, she was unsure of herself. She didn't know where she was or where her daddy was, but maybe if she was good he'd come to get her? But why would he leave her in the cold? It wasn't like the time that he'd left her out in the desert. At least there, she knew what it was and how she could survive...but she couldn't find anything in the cold white stuff. All she could find was powdery stuff and colder slightly wet stuff.
She wanted to go in the building, it looked warm...but what if daddy came to get her? He might not be able to find her; or worse. He would find her and be angry that she went inside.
Moving to a tree, she sat at the base and just shivered. She didn't know what she was supposed to do. What was perfectly clear though, was that as pretty as the white stuff was, it didn't make her feel good. Staying quiet, she waited, not know what exactly she was waiting for.]

His first thought was that Lambo had used the stupid bazooka again and his kid version wandered outside. With an irritable sigh he went outside only to discover... not Lambo... but a small little girl. He looked rather dumbfounded for a moment, but then let out a sigh. He took a little box from the pocket of his suit jacket and placed it into his pocket before removing the jacket and knelt down to offer it to the young girl.
She was another familiar face... she had been close to him... but something was off...]
Hey, you look cold out here kiddo.
no subject
Almost falling asleep, she forced herself to look up as someone crunched in the snow to get closer to her. She didn't know him, why would he be coming to her? He had funny clothes and didn't look like a nin...she was still wary though. It might be another test from her daddy.
She didn't reach out for his jacket, even though it looked warm, she shouldn't accept anything that she didn't get for herself.]
'M fine...I'm waiting for daddy to come get me. He'll be here...
[She was starting to wonder though.]
no subject
[There was... something about that that certainly struck a cord with him. A child alone outside, waiting for a parent to come rescue them.
He reached forward to cover her with the jacket.]
Well, I think it might be a bit too cold out here for you to be waiting all by yourself. How about we go inside? I'm sure your father would go looking for you indoors rather than outdoors. Hm?
no subject
But...when he left me before, he came looking for me where he left me. If I woke up out here, he might look for me here.
What if...what if he sees 'm not here and he leaves me for good...
[Sadly, this was a very real fear for her. He had two sons now and he never hid the fact that he thought she was useless.]
no subject
[unlike his own]
then no matter what happens, he'll come looking for you.
[he smiles a little and ruffles her hair affectionately. He... wasn't usually so patient with kids... he didn't like them, but for some reason h felt obligated to help this one. Perhaps it was just the similarities of their situations., but it felt like something more.]
Besides, I think he would much rather find a warm healthy little girl rather than a sick half-frozen one.
no subject
[He didn't care if she was healthy or sick as long as she could still do her duties...and unless she was on her death bed, she'd be up doing them.
As he lifted his hand to ruffle her hair, she flinched back, fully expecting him to strike her. At the gentle touch though, she leaned into the ruffle, basking in the affection.]
Daddy just cares that I follow the rules.
no subject
Sounds like my dad.
[He sighed]
Either way, we should get you indoors. It's too cold to stay out here too long. How about we go inside and get something warm to eat? I don't think even your father would bother staying out here too long.
no subject
[She wanted so badly to refuse...but the offer of food and warmth was very tempting...
Sighing softly to herself, she stood with one last look around her]
Okay.
no subject
So kiddo, what's your name?
no subject
Temari~...Like the ball.
no subject
I'm Hayato. It's very nice to meet you Temari. [again.]
[He ducks a bit as he heads into the house, and reaches up to duck her head a bit so she won't hit the door. He was aware he was a tall man after all.]
Watch your head.
no subject
[She meant it too. She didn't know many people by name, but the ones that she did usually had boring names that didn't roll off the tongue right.
Looking up, she was already ducking as she saw the door frame coming closer. She wasn't stupid, she knew that it would hurt if it hit her.]
I am. 'M not gonna let it hit me.
no subject
Thank you.
[And he heads into the kitchen, once again watching out for the girl's head. Once inside he reached up and took her off his shoulders, and sat her on the table, still bundled up in his jacket as he started rummaging through cabinets for something to eat and drink. He finds some hot coco, and for food he settled on pasta.
all he had to do was boil some water. He could manage that. So he set a kettle and a pot of water on the stove and boiled some water.]
Hope you don't mind I'm not exactly a world renowned chef.

The small boy steps a bit closer to Temari, but then he doesn't know what to do anymore and remains where he is, looking at her curiously]

Hello?
no subject
So replying should be fine.]
Good day.
no subject
...Who are you...and where are we?
no subject
[That didn't sound very satisfying at all, but it was true. One moment he was in his room, the next he was here. Something wasn't right at all about that]
And who are you?
no subject
[Maybe he was here for survivalist training too? Looking him over, she didn't see anything that would signal what village he was from...she was sure he wasn't from Suna though.]
What village are you from?
no subject
I'm from Kyouto.
no subject
Are you in training too? [Inching forward, she came a little closer to the strange boy.]
no subject
[Well... Ryuutaro was training with his beyblade and training fortune-telling, too so...]
Yes, I think I'm training pretty hard lately...
no subject
You're not doing very good at it, are you?
[The boy was a total shrimp.
no subject
I'm giving it my very best, which always has been very well.
[And since this Ryuutaro isn't good yet in bittersweet irony it sounds obviously a bit snapped]
no subject
Then your teacher isn't very good. You're weak and should be 'shamed.
