[in person]
[There's a young boy wandering the grounds. The last thing he'd known, him and his sister Mischa were being held captive by strange men. They kept looking at Mischa in a way Hannibal didn't like. But they hadn't done anything yet.
Safe to say that when he'd awoken alone and not in that house, he had panicked a little. He'd immediately taken to the grounds and the rest of the house.]
Mischa, where are you?
Safe to say that when he'd awoken alone and not in that house, he had panicked a little. He'd immediately taken to the grounds and the rest of the house.]
Mischa, where are you?

And then- another one. Oh for fucks sake, really? Really? He heaved a sigh, maybe this Mischa person was his caretaker.
Hayato pauses and looks at the boy.]
You lookin' for someone, kid?
no subject
Yes. My little sister. I woke up here, and she wasn't with me.
no subject
Well, I'm... not sure you're going to find her here. This place is... it's sort of magical I guess. It takes people from all sorts of different times and places, and keeps them here for a little while. You'll go home eventually though, and it will be just like you never left. So your sister should be fine.
[...please don't do something obnoxious like kicking him in the shins...]
no subject
So... time freezes while I'm away, and when I wake up, I'll be back in that place with her? [There's a pause, before] Can we take things back with us?
no subject
Take things back?
[He thinks for a moment... he couldn't remember, but he doubted it.]
I don't remember exactly. The last time I was here was ten years ago. I know I brought back a few new scars, so it could be possible. What do you want to bring back?
no subject
if not, well.... he'll have a weapon.]
no subject
It's possible, but if not, how about I show you how to make a weapon? So even if you don't go home with it, you might just remember how to make one?

[And he stops at the nearest lamp, unscrewing the light-bulb]
Some flour or sawdust, a shoe lace, and a light. Should have all that in my room.
[And they get to his room... and he pauses to look around it...]
... god, I forgot I lived in this shit-hole....

Yeah, I was a bit of a mess when I was younger. [in more ways than one] Just.... try to ignore it for now if you could. I'll probably try to fix this place up a bit later.
[He let out a sigh and headed to his work table, placing the light-bulb on it and grabbing up a pair of old sneakers, and handful of sawdust as well.]
Alright kid, I'm gonna teach you how to make a make-shift bomb. It doesn't have a lot of power, but it can melt some faces in a bind.
no subject
This can work with any kind of shoe's lace, yes? Or does it have to be.... one of these?
no subject
Well as long as it'll hold a flame. So as long as it's threaded, and not.. plastic or synthetic.
[He pulls out the shoelace and lays it on the table with the rest of his materials, before taking up the light-bulb and carefully unscrewing the end]
So kiddo, you ever tried to make a bomb before?

[He takes the sawdust and starts to pour it into the shell of the light bulb.
Usually sawdust is a good replacement for actual chemicals, it's what dynamite used to be made out of back before they though of black powder. But if you don't have sawdust, flour works just as good.
[then he takes the shoelace]
Now, I usually like dippin' these in a bit of alcohol before hand to make sure it goes off quick... but for you...
[who probably doesn't have ready access to alcohol]
as long as the flame with travel down it, it'll work.
[and he cuts a bit of the shoelace and stick it into the lightbulb, burying one end into the sawdust while the other hung out about and inch out of the bulb. He holds it out to the kid.]
And there ya go. Most simple bomb you can make... and probably the weakest, but for a kid like you it's somethin'.
[there. Good deed for the year done.]
So you in a bind back home or somethin' kid?
no subject
[There's a pause before he adds quietly] I don't like how they keep looking at her.
no subject
[Well that brought up some very interesting questions...]
What year is it where you're from? And what part of the world are you from?
[Maybe he might be able to do something to help the kid out? But he would need to know more of the story to formulate a plan. He could get where the kid was coming from- even if he despised his own sister- so he would help.]

Well if that ain't rough patch to live through, I don't know what is. World War II huh?
[He sighs]
If it's any consolation, Germany loses the War, though that probably doesn't matter much to you right now.
[He tries to think for a moment... what would be a good way to give the kid a little leverage in the war- in his arctic icebox of a home land...]
Hmmm... we can probably work something out. Maybe look up some books or somethin'. What's your name, kiddo? I'm Gokudera.
no subject
My name is Hannibal Lecter.
no subject
[...That name. Naw... it couldn't be. That would be ridiculous... even for the Author. Of course doesn't make him look any less uneasy.]
Hannibal... Lecter? Don't suppose that's a real common name where you're from is it?
no subject
[Have a slightly affronted look. He's from a rich family, of course it's not common.] No.
no subject
...
...
...
He is suddenly feeling so much more motivated to be nice to this kid.]
Yeah, this place makes strange little time paradox thing. Believe it or not, when I first came here I was fifteen... and I was here for a very long time, and I gave everybody hell.
[he smiles nerviously, hoping that should he revert to his 15...or 16 or really any age, that he had enough sense not to piss this guy off. Ever.]
Then just the other day I wake up here again. Ten years later, but that's not important. Maybe we could find you some history books so that you might be able to subconsciously remember somethin' to get you out safely.
[even though he knows you are going to make it JUST FINE... physically anyway...]
Damn right you should be nice to him.
How does this place do it? [He's letting him lead the way to the books, by the way.]
HE GROWS UP TO BE A REAL NICE GUY LECTER! So please let him grow up! QAQ
Well, if we knew how we probably would have found a way out by now. I remember making a few attempts when I was younger. Mapped this whole place out, calculated what should have been the most effective placed to detonate a bomb and got nothin'. The place changed a bit after that though. Got bigger. There's not longer a closed off wall like their used to be. There's an ocean and a desert now.
He just needs to remember to be polite. and hope he doesn't hear of him being discourteous XD
. . . YOU MEAN NOT SEE HIM ACT THE WAY HE DOES EVERY DAY UNTIL THIS MAGIC CHANGE HAPPENED?!?!
Damn right
/Gives Dera an invisibility cloak
....Just a tip, Dera. Don't suggest that book out loud to him. /smh
HE KNOWSBETTER!
FOR NOW
HOPEFULLY SOME OF HIS FUTURE-SELF'S BRAINS RUBBED OFF ON HIM!
BUT THEN AGAIN, IS THAT LIKELY?
