[With her back to the door, it isn't clear what Vivien is holding so gently and close to her chest, just that she's so distracted, she probably wouldn't notice an earthquake. As you come around her however, it becomes very clear that she's holding a very small baby, feeding it a bottle.

When she'd made that wish to see at least one of her babies, she didn't expect it to actually happen.]

You are so...perfect.

[Even when she found him, he wasn't crying and he didn't seem to fuss as much as her daughter had...no matter how quiet he was, he seemed to be perfectly healthy.

Ignoring her dog running and making a nuisance of herself; Vivien was perfectly content to remain on the plush chair and pay the dog no mind. This was a good day and she intended to make the most of it.]

[Your comm will buzz until it gains some of your attention. There's a small smile on the person who acfidentally came across this scene and had come in for a better look.]

Is he yours? [Was the questioning message, but with thatr look on Vivien's face? That's what she's guessing.]

[Finally looking up as the phone gets her attention, she looks away long enough to read the message and then up to the woman who entered...all things considered, she was the only one who could have sent the message.]

Yes...I found him in my room.

Is this the same one that you were worried about when you arrived here? [She couldn't help but ask.]

One of them. This one...I didn't even get to see. [At least she could see his twin. They kept this one from her sight though.] But, I know he's mine.

[She nods] I don't doubt that. Many mothers know, it's a strong instinct.

It's the strongest instinct. [There was no doubt in her mind that she could identify any of her children, no matter what the circumstances were.]

...Were you the person I was talking to when I had arrived back here?

[She nods, this time with a big, sunny grin.]

[Grinning, she'd thought as much. The text pattern was similar enough from what she remembered.]

Thank you. I was... a little out of sorts before.

[Not that she wasn't now. Anyone that knew her could tell that she wasn't as at peace with herself as she had once been.]

That's more than understandable. And it's no trouble.

Still...You were just trying to help. [Smiling, she kissed the baby's forehead before looking back at the woman.] And it seems as though you were right.

[And she has a bad feeling about it. but she's not saying that.] It seems so.

[She wouldn't believe it anyway. She had her baby back and she wasn't about to let him go.]

I'm sorry, I seem to have forgotten to introduce myself. Vivien~.

[She nodded with a smile. She'd never hidden who she was really here, after all. She wasn't about to start now.]

[Unaware she had been gone, she maintained her routine of casually strolling through the manor to ensure that her mortals were well taken care of. She was sure that the sight of an unusually large woman with glowing eyes, pointed ears, highest quality plate armor and horns was far from comforting to most mortal species, she had the hope that if they saw she would do no harm they would trust her if they were hurt. During this routine she just so happened to stumble upon the mother and her child.

While she was well aware that both where no longer among the living, her heart was warmed by the sight. Slowly stepping in, an odd spur of flower growth as well as a calming presence followed her. She simply watched for a moment before greeting the unfamiliar woman and her child.]

He's absolutely darling. What is his name?

[Looking up after a moment, she had to stop herself from jumping from the chair. She knew she couldn't die again, but there was still a fear of the unknown, something she doubted she'd ever be rid of...and this woman was very much of the unknown.

Still. She didn't seem to want to harm either one of them. And really...who was she to say someone was weird or looked strange.

Staring for a long moment, she's only broken from it when the baby squirms in her arms. Smiling, she pulled the blanket back slightly to let the stranger have a better look at her precious bundle.]

I'm pretty sure we've settled on Nicholas.

What a lovely name.

[She steps forward very slowly to get a better look, smiling warmly at the child. It was a tragedy to see new life snuffed out so quickly, but as long as he was with his mother....

Who she seemed to have spooked. It was far from an unfamiliar reaction, most humans in her world simply saw her as only a legend]

I'm sorry dear, I didn't intent to give you a fright.

It's fine...really, I should be used to seeing different things by now.

[Because as much as she may have wanted to say 'strange', that was incredibly rude. She may not have a pulse anymore, but she still had her manners.

Though, who was she to say that a woman with glowing eyes and horns was strange. Neither her, nor the child in her arms were among the living anymore, yet they still moved around and mingled as such.]

Forgive me, but I don't think I've seen you here before. Are you new?

New? No, I've been here for a number of months now. [She tilted her head curiously] At least from what I am aware. I thought it was peculiar that I had not seen you before.

[She had made and effort to at least be able to recognize all those in the manor.]

I am Alexstrasza the Life Binder, it is a pleasure to meet you dear.

Vivien. I'd offer to shake your hand, but...as you can see, my hands are a little full.

[And really, manners or not, she wasn't ready to set her son down yet.]

I'm sorry. If you were here, I may have simply been too distracted to notice. I only just got back...maybe a month ago, but it could be less.

[In was no secret that she hadn't been completely there lately. Not only from the undealt with loss of her children but the loss of everything she knew and cared for.

Even before her death, she had been trying to cope with losing the support she had come to rely on so heavily.]

[She chuckled at the hand-shaking remark, giving another fond smile at the child]

That's fine. I would much rather have Nicholas happy.

[She brought a hand to her face thoughtfully]

I am sure I would have noticed you, I do make an effort to walk around and ensure no ill has befallen anyone. The Author must have... put me away for one reason or another...

[A bit concerning that she could do that so easily given her status as a demi-god, but it didn't seem like there was much for her to do about it.]

[Setting the bottle on the table, she ran a hand over the baby's downy soft hair.]

That's all I ever wanted for him...he deserves happiness.

[All of her children did. They did nothing to deserve the hand they were dealt in life...this one didn't even get a chance to play it.]

You wouldn't be alone.

Quite a few people have gone missing recently. A few have returned...not nearly as many as have left though. I'm just not sure if it's a good thing they've returned or not.

I see...

[She ponders a minute if this would mean Deathwing may have made a return as well, but no.... one could feel the presence of the disturbed aspect from lands away.]

This is a place that seems to thrive on the chaos it brings, that said, I am somewhat glad to be returned. Perhaps I can do some good to the poor troubled souls that find themselves trapped here.

[She smiles at the woman, a bit of a hint that she knew her physical state as a spirit. She was the Life Binder after all. Still, she had no desire to attempt and purge the woman to the afterlife. She was not sure that could work here considering the impermanence of death. The cycle of life and death did not flow naturally here, ensuring it's captives remained present for the game that was being played. Were she in Azeroth she would offer the woman and her child a peaceful slumber, but the risk of it only being temporary on this bizarre plane was too high.]

[Lifting her eyes warily, Vivien supposed it wouldn't be too far of a stretch that this woman would know of her current state. Still, she would have preferred it if no one knew, the more people that knew...the more likely it was to slip out. Too many here had experience with the supernatural that it wasn't likely to be met with open minds.]

You make it sound like not everyone here is human...aside from yourself...

[Watching the woman, she was curious just how much she knew about her.]

Not everyone is human in one form or another, but most are mortal. Regardless it is my duty as the Life Binder to watch over all forms of life.

[Her smile does not fade or falter as she explains, She was glad to meet this one. Perhaps she could provide her with some sort of emotional reprieve in her undeath.]

Like a mother does her child.

Life Binder? [If she didn't have it before, the dragon had her complete attention now.]

...Does that mean you can restore life?

[Perhaps there was some hope for her after all. If she were alive again...there would be nothing to hide.]

[She nodded]

I have dominion over live and death, but I am afraid that without a body I cannot bring you back to your mortal state. Though in this place I do not feel it makes much of a difference as death is not permanent here. The cycle here is disturbed, and while my powers seem to be mostly intact I am unable to fix it without threatening the stability of this plane.

[And all her hopes just disappeared. She knew there was no hope of her having her physical body brought here, even if it was...it had probably already been buried.]

...It matters to me. I have friends here that...well, they don't have good experience with things that aren't normal humans.

If my condition becomes public knowledge, I could lose everything.

[And she didn't think she could take that a second time.]

Your secret is safe with me. It is not my place to meddle in the affairs of humans. However, should you find yourself in any trouble do not hesitate to come to me and I will see what I can do.

[Her heart went out to the human. To be forced to remain in limbo in such a place was tragic to say the least. She would gladly offer her whatever comfort she could.]

I appreciate it. Truly. I just don't think there's much that you could do if my secret was found out.

[Really, she'd already risked too much with letting Gokudera and that doctor know...but she had to hope that they knew to stay in their place and not go blabbing about things that they don't completely understand. Just because she was dead...it didn't make her any less human. She still had feelings and needs just like anyone else, including a need for companionship.

Glancing up, she gave a small smile before standing and taking a few steps closer.]

Would...you like to hold him?

[Just the comfort that had already been offered was enough to let the other woman hold her precious charge for a few moments.]

[She smiled warmly at the fellow mother.]

You would be amazing the sway one can have when they help guide the human race while it was still in it's infancy.

[At the offer, Alexstrasza was absolutely beaming. It had been far too long since she had the joy of witnessing a new life, and this one's had been snuffed far too short- he was still a beautiful child.]
