[Event Post - THE SACRIFICE!]
[For the "children" who've been kidnapped, if you wanted a good shot at slipping out, this will be the time - the guards still remaining in the mines are few and far between, and with all the other NPC kids there, it's much easier to lose track.]
[The bad news for a good number of other people is where those guards are; anyone following the passages around will find that you can pretty much follow the guards that aren't staying and watching the kids, as they're heading down the passages that wind into the center of the underground temple - to where the rituals are held. The passages are thin and narrow, only lit by torches, and there's some booby-traps for the unwary along less traveled corridors. The passages come out different places in the big central chamber, so for all of you who don't know your way around the temple, there's no telling where you'll come out, but there's three basic places the corridors will come in.]
[The main chamber is a big, open area; there's a crowd of the guards and other cultists gathered in the largest area, all the way up to a thin rope railing along a drop-off into a very, very deep pit - far below there's bubbling magma. There's a couple other corridors that open up on ledges overlooking the entire scene - nice view, bad place to try to do anything, as it's a pretty good drop even down to the altar platform. The last couple of corridors open up on the other side of the chamber, onto the raised platform that has the stone altar and a big, flat metal hanging cage, rigged with restraints to keep the victim locked in and held upright. The high priest Mola Ram is here, and for each of the sacrifices there's two of the bigger, tougher guards in ritual garb.]
[For the sacrifices, this whole thing starts with them getting let out! Or rather, those bigger, nastier guards are tugging them out, leading them to a side room where they get a chance to bathe and dress - the guards being pretty diligent about that only exit from that room - before hauling them off to the altar, a guard on either side of each person.]
[At this point, the guards will be dragging them to the altar while the high priest is chanting the ritual to Kali; if not stopped somewhere along the way, the guards will manhandle the sacrifices in turn into the cage so the High Priest can pull a wonderful supernatural cheat and pull their hearts out. Bare handed. Yeah, you probably don't want to let it hit that point.]
[The Maharaja's on one of the ledges overlooking with a set of something like voodoo dolls; anyone helping will find themselves with sudden, sharp, likely crippling pains until someone manages to find the kid and snap him out of the trance. If anyone does/has ended up brainwashed, they'll be on the Altar platform helping guard the ritual; a good sharp pain is enough to snap people out of it, like throwing hot coals or a bit of fire at them or, well, drawing blood.]
[And of course, there's a couple other guards at the entrances to the ritual platform, plus most of the Thuggee population of the mine down in the audience area.]
[Have fun, rescuers! :D

[AUDIENCE AREA]
no subject
[Moreover, he seems to pay no attention to the chanting, screaming and blood up ahead and just gives the crowd an irritated once-over and a call loud enough to be intended to be heard.]
Oi! Where did the bloody bathroom go?
[He must have took the wrong turn somewhere, but he's not going to admit that.]
no subject
[So instead he decided to make these morons think they succeeded. Even though that meant making him wear those primitive outfits. Well it's not like he had any problems with showing off his bare, almost olympian chest. Heck that was how his every day outfit was designed really.]
[Then this guy just walks in completely clueless, looking as if he just walked out of a freakin bath. And he thought Teruyama was dense.]
[Regardless several of the other guards were already gathering around the swordsman. Ah this idiot was going to get himself locked up with the rest. He's just going to click his tongue in iritation before marching in to fall in line with the guards.]
no subject
[He eyes the supposedly intimidating men close in without much interest, though as always, his own guard is up. He's not interested in fighting or whatever voodoo they're doing, so even though he seems to have Mugen, he's not pulling it out.]
[Instead, he points at the nearest guy with the brush as if it was a magnificent weapon and proof of status, and looks at him seriously.]
Simply give me the directions, and I won't have to use my hairbrush.
no subject
We'll give you directions alright. Send him to the mines with the rest of them!
no subject
[it is a weapon of power]
[There is a very unimpressed and displeased expression at that, because, haha, no.]
Baths make people cleaner. Mines make them dirtier. Are you fucking retarded?
[Swats a spear away with the brush, turns and starts marching back towards the way he came, though keeping a hand on Mugen just in case those guys attempted a sneak attack from behind.]
[Unfortunately, the door seems... gone.]
Fuck.
no subject
[Yes the guards are not impressed though the fact that they missed the weapons of one of their guests is quite the pain.]
You. Come forward!
[Oh crap he just pointed at Blade. Great more acting like a mindless puppet.]
Yesss master?
[Okay maybe he is going a little far with that but it doesn't seem like the guards are any the wiser.]
Take that man's sword then take him to the mines. Put him to use.
no subject
Yes.
[Pause.]
Tch, I guess the odds aren't that fair. Feel free to call for reinforcements.
[He narrows his eyes a little as the one guy gets ordered around, and eyes him. This one feels... different, somehow. Less cannon fodder, if you may. This just might prove to be a bit of a challenge... damn.]
[He gets into a defensive stance, drawing the sword by an inch or so, his back turned to the wall.]
Think you can take Mugen, huh. Try me.
no subject
I only obey the masters.
[Droning on as he steps forward, cracking his neck as he faces Kanda]
Crush the puny man and his toothpick.
[And lunging at Kanda with speed beyond that of a normal human intending to drive his right fist dead center into Kanda's stomach. He'll apologize later....no he won't.]
no subject
[Yep, Kanda thinks, this one is definitely not someone to go easy on. Still, he is very much offended when dear Mugen is compared to a toothpick. That is not how you make good first impressions, sir.]
[And whoa, the bastard's fast. Kanda throws himself to the side barely in time, good thing he isn't exactly normal either, and attempts a back-handed slash from the other man's behind.]
no subject
[Still he doesn't have the time to think about something since he's supposed to be fighting this guy. Oh well. Improvisation is something he does best. For now have a chunk of broken wall thrown in your face as a distraction. Pro tip it's not exactly hand sized. Just a 'little' bigger.]
no subject
Fuck.
[Mugen gleams light blue, there's a zigzag of light, and the handsomely sized piece of rock separates into a number of smaller shards, all of which now conveniently fly past Kanda instead of hitting him as one.]
[He decides to use the chance to counter attack and charges at the guy, this time swinging the blade at him upfront.]
no subject
..ower!
[Barely murmured under his breath before he stomps on the floor hard enough to crack then tilt up a piece of the floor as a makeshift shield between himself and Kanda]

no subject
Tch.
[He lands into a crouched position and swipes a spear from one of the guards while also butting the blunt end into the guy's chin hard enough to make him see stars.]
no subject
[Isn't that move, like, mutiny or something? He bares his teeth slightly in a grimace of a grin.]
How hard do I have to hit you to end this puppet play?
no subject
You haven't hit me once.
[Spins the spear really fast in one hand then transfering to the other with ease.]
no subject
Yet.
[He narrows his eyes for a moment at what looks like a bloody windmill, and skids to a stop. Charging into something rotating this fast would end in broken things unless he manages to catch it. Different plan.]
[He whips some Hell Bugs the man's way and jumps onto the nearest rock sticking out of the ground to get a look at the altar area. Maybe there's some magical stone to break or shaman guy to kill, and this madness will end neatly. And he can finally go have a shower and wash his hair.]

[There's definitely something going on at the altar, but there's hardly anything screaming 'BREAK ME' like in most comics when big bad goes wild. Maybe it has to do something with each person individually... or there's been some mass hypnosis before. Either way, this seems to be getting them nowhere.]
[Leaving the other man to finish off the remaining bugs, Kanda makes a rather superhuman leap towards the rest of the group of guards who are just standing nearby watching like a bunch of retards after ordering the most troublesome of them to do the dirty work. They don't have any ominous aura about them, more of a fodder aura, so as Kanda manages to land on one of theirs head immediately knocking the guy out, it's pretty damn obvious how this fight is going to go.]
[Even if it's eight against one.]
no subject
[Right now though Blade made use of the chaos caused by the swordsman and got behind several of the guard ring leaders, grabbing them in a headlock and squeezing hard enough to cut their conciousness completely. Silent and quick. It would soon be an army of guards versus two. Now those were his kind of odds.]
no subject
[Kanda is a little confused with how things have turned, seeing the big supposedly-brainwashed guy suddenly turn against what was supposed to be his own. He sheaths Mugen, since it doesn't seem like this is serious enough to do killing, and whacks and punches a couple more guards to unconsciousness, with a single-hit at that.]
[However, this is where he draws the line and also reaches out to bonk the scabbard on his suddenly ally's head.]
Which fucking side are you on?
no subject
What's the big idea you ponytailed fucker? Can't you tell?!
[Seriously how hard is it to figure out he never obeyed these morons. Speaking of which three of them are rushing at them right now, spears first.]
no subject
You threw a fucking boulder at me!
[Fumes a little, then smirks.]
But now I've hit you once.
[Oh, look, guards. Cue dramatic slowmotion, as Kanda moves towards the one farthest on the right, with a split-second accuracy swats the spear upwards and shoves the scabbard into the guard's gut. The poor sod gasps and double overs to the ground.]
[Except, oh, the other two are now behind his back. Whoopsie.]
no subject
I was keeping up appearances! Sides you looked like you could handle it.
[Two guards? really that's your idea of a slip up? Here's Blade invoking Kandata String and wrapping the poor sods up nice and tight]
no subject
Che.
[That sounds rather annoyed, and he's already off to deal with more incoming guards. You seem to handle whoever passes anyway, and it's not like being stabbed from behind would do much damage to him. No reason to try too hard~]
[Although he would like to get to that shower as soon as possible. Maybe he should rethink his choices.]
