round 001 || Knuckle || [accidental video]
[The feed comes on to a nice shot of a pair of shoes, and the bottom of some sort of black robe.]
What in heaven's name is thi-
[He turns the device around so that his face finally comes into view and he immediately freezes up the moment he sees his face on the tiny little device. Very slowly and carefully just places the device back where he found it. He was not sure what the little device was, but he was sure that he PROBABLY shouldn't be touching it. The priest wandered out into the hall, and for anyone who may remember a certain Sasagawa Ryohei... well... the shouting will be very nostalgic.]
EXCUSE ME?! IS ANYONE HERE?! I SEEM TO BE VERY LOST, TO THE MAX!

[Behold, a truly pleased smile. Finally, someone else capable of taking care of themselves.]
That's actually going to be helpful here. Do you have any other special talents or skills?

[Technically it was the truth, he HADN'T raised his fists in years because he COULDN'T. He only raised them once since his vows as well.]
I am rather good at mending injuries though... if that helps for... um... what sort of place is this again?
no subject
I see...that's a shame, but your medical knowledge will come in handy as well. As far as I know, we only have one real doctor here.
As for what kind of place it is...it's um...well, it's kind of hard to explain. We seem to be in a dimension other than our own.

[Tread carefully Mary, you're already starting to lose him again.]
no subject
[Even she could tell that she was losing him. Running a hand through her hair, she tries a different tactic.]
Where are you from and what year is it? I'm just curious...
no subject
[He ducks into his room for a moment for the massive old Bible... which, did not look as antiquated as it should given the old styling of it. He flips it open to a few pages in the back.]
Ah, 1909.
no subject
...Maybe we should take things a little slower then. Could I interest you in a cup of tea while we talk?
no subject
Tea sounds lovely, thank you!

He was able to recignize the stove, and what he guess was some sort of up-right icebox? But beyond that, he was rather speechless.
...for once.]
no subject
Turning back to him, she smiled at his expression...the poor guy.]
Come and sit with me.
[Sitting in a chair at the table, she beckoned him closer.]
Perhaps we should start with what questions you may have.
no subject
Questions? [He chuckled a little awkwardly] Well, there are so many, I'm not quite sure where to start!
[Translation: He forgot what he wanted to ask.]
no subject
But, they may be different. For example, I'm twenty nine...I was able to meet my grown children here.
no subject
Have you seen any of them?
no subject
I'm sorry, but no. It doesn't mean they won't show up later though.
no subject
Thank you anyway, if you do see them, could you tell them I'm here as well? I haven't seen them in quite a while.

[Oddly enough, she tended to be one of the first people that new people ran into.]
In the meantime, I think it's best that we get you acquainted with the layout of the manor and the equipment here.
no subject
[He nodded and looked about the kitchen]
I think this would be a good place to start... I don't think I have ever seen anything in here aside from the icebox and perhaps the stove? though both look different than I remember.
[And he is assuming the 'ice-box' has a big block of ice in it and the stove uses wood.]

[Standing, she pulled the door of the fridge open, a light coming on to reveal the contents inside.]
Things are easier to use now. Most everything runs on gas or electricity now.
